Isn't there supposed to be some aspects of the Silmarillian in this movie? Maybe this "Itaril" comes from that aspect.

I don't remember Itaril in the Silmarillian either. It's just a made up character by PJ. Hopefully her role is small otherwise it may deviate the plot line from the book too far.
