I really couldn't care less whether Orlando Bloom returns or not, but Hugo Weaving is another story altogether....any word yet as to whether he will be returning?

Also, I found it interesting when looking at IMDB they have Leonard Nimoy rumored as Smaug? I hadn't heard that before.

I have a hard time not imagining Smaug with Christoper Lee's voice, but he's already Saruman...

Yeah, I'm closing my eyes and trying to envision it and it's not all that bad. Although I really liked the guy (Richard Boone) who voiced Smaug in the animated Hobbit but he's not around anymore.

Just realized that the reason I'm imagining Lee as the voice of Smaug is that he was the voice of the Jaberwock in Alice in Wonderland... so scratch that.

The most recent news I heard was back on Dec. 8th, 2010 where it states negotiations for Hugo Weaving "are still ongoing".
