CONGRATS pjam. Just received my replacement. Didn't get the same number. Now this one won't light up. I've tried to called to get this one replace, but seems like i won't be gettin another one:banghead

Are you serious? That seriously sucks. Looks like keeping the first one would have been the better option.

I know in my e-mails that they stated I couldn't be guaranteed the same number....personally I couldn't care less about that, but to get a replacement that doesn't light up?! That's just insult to injury it really is.....have you checked the connections....the batteries....tried a mains adapter?

I feared that in getting a replacement that somehow I'd get a bum replacement that would be worse off than the first....

I had to destroy my SIM - with a functioning light up feature - to get it replaced. I'll be very pissed if I'd receive a SIM that has a perfect paint job, but a broken light up feature... I'd rather kept the first SIM then.
This figure was mend to arrives in perfect shape when they sold it on their site, wasn't it???

Likewise, my original SIM had to be taken apart, and the lights were fine.....the thought of getting another faulty item directly from SS (3 for 3 so far out of all the items I've received from SS) would drive me into a fit of complete rage.

I've tried changing new batteries, cleaning the connectors, even tried rocking the statue back & forth to make sure the connectors make contact...... but no luck. I'll try it on a friend's working one to see where the problem lies. I wonder if i can ask for my original scruff painted one back:D

Got my replacement SIM today. Perfect paint apps but the lights don't work. :monkey4 I tried switching batteries, swabbing contacts with rubbing alcohol. I'm pissed.

Need to send it back. SSC CS said it wouldn't be a problem replacing it. I'll find out for sure tomorrow... stay tuned.

wtf is the deal with this statue? lights not working is UNBELIEVABLE! ss should be making this right by replacing sim and giving you like a $50 gift card or something for the tremendous trouble their loyal buyers have had to endure. the patience of you guys has been great. i think i would have blown a gasket by now. :cuss how many chances do they need to make it right?

The lights don't work because they did away with the oil and hard plastic lining. :lol:lol

You too? That SUCKS big time. Most likely customer service will say it was tested & check before they sent it out.

MINE WORKS, i think. I used a AC adaptor (computer speakers) and it lit up like it was christmas. The adaptor heats up very fast, so careful when removing it :burned fingers:. I think the problem is that SS just used up all the battery juice when checking these, BUT you guys/gals at SS should have put new ones in it. SO in all mine LIGHTS up and is mint. Me soo happy

I think the majority of the replacements are mint, just no battery power. Also, only paint flaws seem to be behinde the kneecap, well, mine at least. very minor detail.

Well my replacement just arrived. Didn't even get a shipping notice so it was a bit of a surprise. Gonna take it home tonight and check the lights. Now I just need to get paid for the damn thing.
