Point I'm trying to make is why are people so obsessed with what material it's made out of, if it looks kick ass and comes to you in one piece and lasts the longest it can, isn't that what's most important, not that it's made of ""lesser"" materials.

The overall look is the most important thing for me. I never touch my stuff once displayed (I'm petrified to break anything)... so it's no big deal.

Because it is like buying a jelly filled donut and really anticipating the fruity goodness inside. You take a bite and find out...there is no jelly....

Think about it! :D

I have thought about, and I don't care what my products are made of as long as I can take comfort knowing it will last and bottom line, looks great, that's what is important to me, but if you have to have something made out of a certain material, then that's your opinion and I respect that and guess neither side can understand the other.

So here's what I've been thinking, if Fett is solid good quality plastic, will that make him less likely to break should (God forbid) he fall from the shelf?

Anyways, after I've had some time to think about this it doesn't seem as bad as it did before. So long as it looks nice I'm okay with it. I don't really understand how it is that they couldn't get the armor and cloth to fit fine on a polystone body just as well as a plastic body, but I guess this is one of those things were I have to trust sideshow is doing right by us (and I'm not naive enough to think they aren't doing right by themselves and protecting the profit margin, but that's business and I can't fault them for it).

Duh...

He has a jetpack.

I'm gonna sit back and wait to sink my teeth into some plastic-y Fetty goodness. I still think this thing looks awesome. This thread is like a tutorial on how and why the wait list works out.

That's what sideshow and Josh are trying say! But then again, who in their right mind would want their $325 statue to fall or even place it so that it's at risk of falling?
The thing is, when I think about plastic, like many others, I think about 12" dolls, not high-end Statues.:)

Answer me this then, why should Sideshow make anything in polystone anymore? If ABS doesn't break or wrap, why not make everything out of ABS?

I don't know why, but that comment reminds me of Dumd N Dumber:

"Lloyd, Petey didn't even have a head!" "Duhh, I took care of it."

I have seen you ask this question like 14 times and nobody either knows the answer or is brave enough to guess. I am afraid that Sideshow may determine in the future that plastic is the best way to go. I love polystone so I would hate to see this day.

That's why the cost is still high! They had to cover the cost of the jet fuel...

If they had to cover the cost of jetpack fuel in this F'ed up economy, it'd have cost triple the original sale price to get this thing, sorry, little political rant...

I know...that is why I keep asking and will continue to do so!

Actually I know the answer, because Sideshow markets their high quality polystone statues...but apparently they aren't high quality enough for a Premium Format statue..

I like plastic, IF it made products cheaper and STILL look as good. Than why not?

That's okay, jetpack fuel is outrageous these days. I finally decided to put mine away and start driving a car again.
