I feel that with Predators even though it was the third in the series, the film makers played it safe and made it similar to the first film.

It was hardly similar imo.. Some re-used lines, jungle, tough guys with guns.. But come on. The story was incredibly different.

Yeah I suppose. I think Predators is a great film. I watched P and P2 last night though so they always set me off on one.

I like Predators, I know I spoke kinda against the movie before ,but, I Like predators WAY more than avp or avpr, I saw it like 4 times In a row, I just wish the Predators were not so Unused, seems like, if you have more than one pred per movie, the other ones always go to waste....

I like Predators, I know I spoke kinda against the movie before ,but, I Like predators WAY more than avp or avpr, I saw it like 4 times In a row, I just wish the Predators were not so Unused, seems like, if you have more than one pred per movie, the other ones always go to waste....

The extra Preds are good eye candy and make cool looking figures.

Predators was a decent film. They'll never beat the first film but it was an acceptable addition to the series IMO.

yeah, I really Cannot wait for Rodriguez to do Predators 2
specially if he directs, I bet he will do some crazy S*** like he likes to do in his movies, I think that's what predators was missing, some crazy gory stuff going on

i was dissapointed that not one human got eaten up brutally by those dogs in predators

At first I thought Predators was meh, but now I have almost as much respect for it as I do for Aliens.

Very good movie imo.

i was dissapointed that not one human got eaten up brutally by those dogs in predators

I kept watching the movie, imagining how Rodriguez Would have made, not only the movie really gory but the predators more aggressive, he has a talent for that, damn, I so wish he directed this,

I hope he doesn't bail out of the sequel

After watching Predator and Predator 2 back to back to other night it would have been great to watch a '90s Predator 3. Predators is a great film and I really like the design of Berserker and co but I always wondered what the film makers could have done with Predator 3 with Jim and John Thomas writing the screenplay and Stan Winston in charge of creating a new Predator design.

I read that the guy who wrote AVP:R wanted to make a movie where the predator goes to the war in the middle east or something like that?
I really do not remember where I read this, maybe IMDB.com, and I don't remember the correct quote, what I remember was, the idea was for the Pred to drop in the middle of the war,

you think This would have been a good idea?

So long as it was in a city, absolutely. Maybe even have him track them to caves for the last act, for a change of environment where you could introduce the Aliens. You'd get the dual tension with a SpecOps team being hunted by both insurgents and a Predator in the beginning and middle with a huge finale.

that sounds pretty good,
I actually wish that AVPR was focused on the soldiers, and not the townspeople, I mean, sounds cliche but, it works... it just does, I think i was more interested when the soldiers show up and the aliens kill them,

but anyways, yeah, the writer of avpr had that idea of the middle east war and a pred dropping there, but, they decided to go with what they made...
