"The Predator" by Shane Black (2018)

This is AVP sequel, fellas.
No single "PREDATOR" looking design so far, everything is straight from AvP.

It appears so, even though I haven't been able to watch the trailer yet.

The only thing I liked in AVPs was Wolf, even though he was in a Cleveland steamer of a film.

Wolf is up there as one of the most bad *** Predators. I like Serpent Hunter from the 2010 game as well.

Neca are releasing an ultimate Wolf next year I believe.

The reason I like Wolf is that he isn't a overdesigned mess, and is similar to the original two while having his own identity. And the fact his face is messed up makes him very interesting to me.

He's still looks like a space barbarian instead of a intergalactic hunter.
And his design makes no sense considering the fact that...
1) he's not a safari hunter like those in original dilogy but a merc/assassin;
2) it's not hot in Gunnison, which means he'd get pretty damn cold in that climate and should wear more stuff
(I'm ignoring AvP for the sake or rational argument)

Well Wolf's design is in tune with the original two, where they looked like tribal hunters. It ignores the space alien marine look of the three AVP silvery things. He was there on a job so I'm willing to overlook the lack of heat there.

Interesting, I thought this was supposed to be like a sequel to the original, maybe include P2, but AVP/AVPR plot line too? This looks to carry the concept of the recovered weapons seen in AVPR with the shady government. I thought the studio knew people disliked the AVP series, hence getting Predators.

When you watch it in the end, maybe this movie will make sense and be good, but nothing in the trailer was worth getting excited over.

Black's done some cheeky stuff in the past (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Nice Guys) and I have no problem with Predator going the same route, but the editing in this trailer is so generic. Hopefully the full length version will be an improvement, similar to what happened with Venom.

Though both films will likely be crap.
