"The Predator" by Shane Black (2018)

I take the guerrilla shot for what it is, that's the only thing in the movie with flaws in it.

The "dated" aspect of some others has aged fantastically in my opinion, it gives it a pulpy feel and look that only enriches the movie, of course that wasn't intentional but it adds to it over time.

How about a Gladiator style film, but the contestant is a Predator?

I’d rather see a film where the Predators are hunting one of their own and somehow humans find their way into the conflict. Might sound a lot like “Predators” initially, but what I’m invisioning would be something along the lines of a clan hunting a dishonored Pred who killed one of their own. And no Super Predators. Just highly skilled hunters and warriors.

Shot from the latest issue of Empire magazine. Even on the art book cover, the non-mutant Predator in this film looks to be slimmer and more athletic. I suppose like Wolf, but younger.

And no, it's not female for those who may be triggered by the possibility; costume designer referred to it as a "he."

I also like the fact that Dutch went back to basics , using hunting skills and nature to make traps to eventually slay the predator.

Well HT did a revamp JH which own, a few years after the original HT released. But yes, I would like to see an even better version now

I already knew the plot, it sounded like the ultimate tastless trash if done right.
Unfortunately both trailers make it look like the ultimate tasteless borefest.

1. He IS mutated, he's the one they're talkin' about in the first trailer
2. He's not more athletic in any way, the suit is pretty bloated

I remember being a kid and watching this with my friend and his uncle, who was a retired SEAL, and he absolutely destroyed the camp raid picking it apart...even as a kid I was like damn dude relax....
