Shame any sequels were ever made because had it remained just with the original Predator movie the Jungle Predator would be a movie monster with almost no equal.

Now....meh....look everyone here are more Yautja.

Yes but it's the inevitability of Hollywood. JAWS, ALIEN, Predator, The Terminator, Darth Vader, ED-209, Kong, Godzilla. Pretty much all the greatest monsters and/or villains end up getting tainted by sequels or become outright jokes. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we see a Thomasin vs. Cloverfield film. I think you just have to detox all the crap and never revisit them. After the first AvP I didn't bother watching AvP Requiem or Predators in the theater. I saw them each once on TV and never watched them again. Eventually the junk fades away and the originals become cool again. The trick is just resisting the urge to dabble in any of the later films from that point on.

I'll check out The Predator because it's Shane Black but crap like the Olivia Munn announcement has me already preparing to erase it from my memory.

:lol :rotfl:lol :lol +1

What makes that gif so brilliant is that as ridiculous as it is both creatures are kind of acting "in character" with regard to the mannerisms of their film counterparts. :lol

The list of great sequels is a short one isn't it.

If there are no more sequels we cant get more statues and figures!
How many of us have wolf predator... i dont love avpr
But i love the scar figure and statue.
Everyone hates avp but everyone wants the avp figures.

Im not saying that the ONLY reason for movies should be toys ( like with star wars) but what i mean is that those new preds movies at least created very cool designs that we enjoy. And added to the overall mythology of the pred.

If you hate the films and likely don't consider them canon then they aren't adding to the mythology.

.....but you are right about toys. I'm eyeing up all the NECA AvP figures, it's a great looking line.

Im getting them as well. I want neca to make a 18 inch celtic.
Ill definitely buy that. Ill buy a 18 inch scar pred
