Re: Predator Reboot...

Would take something very special to achieve that. Almost impossible.

maybe if James Cameron came in to write it then it would be as good as the first one. Or if they got Ridley Scott to direct a James Cameron script.

Sadly that will never happen.

Re: Predator Reboot...

I love AvP :horse

R not so much.

Apart from Scar spearing the Queen the movie was forgettable, which is a travesty when you think that it was the first time we seen these two icons on the big screen.

Also P1 is one of the best movies ever made. Macho no non-sense from start to finish.

Re: Predator Reboot...

I'm really looking forward to the reboot! I only enjoyed the first Predator, and am hoping for a great new take!

Re: Predator Reboot...

For me the worst thing about Predators was Noland.

AVPR knew it was a terrible movie. The directors constantly made excuses and they were both open Predator fans, hence Wolf. It never took itself too seriously.

Predators on the other hand had a producer that thought his Preds were far superior to the original Predator and ended up giving us a rehashed Predator 1 with less superior Preds. When Noland turned up it completely killed up any momentum that it had going for it. It failed to deliver. I'm glad RR and his Super Preds on Super Pred Planet is nowhere near this.

Re: Predator Reboot...

AVPR is impossible to watch now. it is too dark, none of the action scenes are watchable.

once the pred shows up the movie becomes impossible to watch. you can barely see anything

Re: Predator Reboot...

I agree that Predators felt totally unoriginal. Though I doubt I'll ever want to see it again, it was enjoyable enough for a modern action movie to waste a couple of hours on. Those AVP movies had no redeeming qualities to me, though, and that makes them worse. They weren't bad enough to be funny bad, just bad enough to be bad, like an Uwe Boll movie. I should disclose that I didn't even watch the second one all the way through because it was so damn dark I couldn't tell what was going on.

Re: Predator Reboot...

I just hated Brody's Bale Batman voice - really hated it. :lol

I thought Brody did a good job with the role that he was given. I never minded the Bale voice, pretty much every movie does it these days. Everything was too serious though, especially with over serious characters that we all wanted to see die anyway.

Everyone bashes AVPR (and rightly so) but there's a large percentage of fans on here that have paid out crazy money for a LSF of it's main star. ;) If I hated a movie that much there's no way I'd buy merchandise from it.
