Just did an hour of P90x Plyometrics. Finished with my first month and moving on into phase 2. Defiantly seeing results and pushing to be ripped by summer time.

P90x is a great workout program. If you want to see better results, I recommend doing the nutrition program as well. It's pretty convenient and the results, especially in your midsection become more apparent.

Oh yeah. Im on the nutrition program. Been keeping up with eating healthy and drinking enough water. Lost 8 pounds and gained a bunch of muscle so far. Just gotta keep with it.

I finally had shoulder surgery three days ago (had bone spurs shaved off that were rubbing on tears I had on my rotator cuff and bicep tendon, and wouldn't allow them to heal) to hopefully finish off the pain I still had after having an anterior disc fusion with disectomy in my neck back in September 09.

I was a very active person before hurting myself in October 08 (yeah, that long with pain, and I hurt myself closing a door), so hopefully after PT I can resume my active lifestyle.

My goal is to officially run a marathon. Though I have run marathon distances before (26.5 miles, for those who might not know), I was about 180-190 lbs, at 6' 1", back then. Right now I'm 210-215, so I'd like to cut back down to around 200-205. The heaviest I got since my injury was 230.

I'm going to try getting back into lifting, but not the extent I was before (I was benching 315, squatting 400 and dead-lifting over 500 .... not too shabby). I'm going more for cardio/endurance this time around. I feel me getting hurt was the straw that broke the camel's back, in a sense, because of being too gung-ho in my teens and 20s.

I pray my pain level is cut down by at least 75%. I could live with that. I loved running before I got hurt, and really want to get back into it again. The lifting and bulking up I could really care less about, but I just really need the running back in my life. Hopefully I can post good news here in the not too distant future. Hopefully ....

Scratch that happening anytime soon, because my bicep tendin finished tearing completely through .......

Ran 2.5 miles on Monday on the trail for the first time since my neck injury. Did a 10 min pace.

And today I ran 2.5 miles on the treadmill before work.

Feeling good and hoping to be able to continue with this.

Oh and I FINALLY got moved to UCLA Medical Center to treat my neck. I'm almost back and once I am - IT'S ON!!!!!

Awesome. I can definitely relate to wanting to get back into it on a hard, consistent basis. I'm not sure where you live, but up north my routes are covered in snow and ice, and the air is way too brisk. Actually got bronchitis in December from running in it too much. That sort of scared me out of running, but things should be melting/warming up pretty soon, so I can't really express how excited I am to get back out there :rock

:lol, nah it's a small dosage of caffeine, 200mg's I believe and they don't change or replace ingredients like N.O. got suede for and why Ronnie dropped the license.

but I've stopped taking any kind of stimulant supps about 1.5 yrs ago, just straight foods now, I've even kicked the protein shakes out.

Did you drop Scivation Xtend too ?

Since last week Monday, I have run M-W-F & M each time 2.5 miles. Neck is feeling it with the constant bouncing but I feel good otherwise.

Thursday I see the specialist at UCLA Medical Center so hopefully they will get me back in action sooner than later.

Oh and for Lent - No red meat

Ok cool. Re-ordering.

I was trying to explain the benefits to a friend.

Could you summarize it for me so I can explain it better ?

And why did you drop protein powder ? Doing it strictly from food ?

Does anybody know where I can find one of those big ass jars of Lean Body for her?

Update: I've lost 35 pounds in total...but was bad this past weekend! :lol

Actually since health and fitness are my No. 1 priorities in life, I have been pondering starting a thread like this for a while.

I have been training for six years now and have competed in amateur body building.

I try to keep my body fat percentage low, which guys like Skiman will tell you is a detriment to building bigger, much more thicker and denser muscle. Right now with school starting in just over a week (8 days), I figure it's more important to focus on that vs. trying to make significant size gains. I am more-so just in maintenance mode. I will never ever drop running and weight training. In fact, I want to get back into martial arts/boxing, and even b-boy stuff. What can I say, anything that keeps me physically active, I am all for it! :rock

My diet consists of water, lean chicken breasts, salmon, tuna, fruit (especially blueberries and pomegranates for antioxidants), vegetables, Omega 3 yogurt, jam, old fashioned peanut butter (no hydrogenated oils), cottage cheese, flavoured rice cakes, whole wheat breads (not much), oatmeal, whey protein, granola bars, blueberry pancakes (mmmm), and egg whites. I don't have salt in my cupboards. There is enough sodium in my food as is.

I work out five to six days a week. Not every one of those days is running or weight training. I also know it's important to let your body rest.
Yeah, I'm trying to get back into fitness as well. Want to get pretty lean. When preparing to get down to extremly low bodyfat levels, other than diet, what is your cardio routine 2 to 3 weeks before competition?

Any other runners using Nike+? I'm finding it to be one wicked tool. If you've got a smart phone, get the app!

It's great if you are using the GPS outside but the indoor portion of the app sucks BALLZ!!!

I have to resort to using the sensor and original app in order to track my indoor running.

I don't know why Nike didn't incorporate the sensor tracking with the GPS version when it is in indoor mode.
