I went off and on last year but I definitely look like one of the New year members :lol

I love to train alone and love to have the whole gym to me 1:1, I don't have people like Wofford judging me or asking me tons of questions. :yess: :lecture

and I can drop 700-800 pounds anywhere I want and not get the stink eye from old ladies...

This is my biggest gym pet peeve, ha! Hate when I'm working out, in a zone when all of a sudden horrible ground shake (and since I'm in SoCal, you can imagine what's going through my head, ha!). Then I realize it's some dude just dropping his 100+ pound weight(s) on the ground (and it will go on like that over and over until they're done with their sets). So I thank you for at least keeping that kind of stuff relegated to a time frame when hardly anyone is at the gym, Skiman. :lol

#2 pet peeve....people who don't wipe down the machine they just stopped using and leave pools of sweat behind. So, so gross.

Glad to be back. I have been guarded. Watching my back but trying to get my time in. I hope I can work back up again and not completely modify my workout.
 
I'm a little too excited about the new 10-90 pound adjustable dumbbell set that I got from a friend of mine.....they're beautiful :lol
 
for christmas i finally got the powerblocks 90 series, the box arrived smashed and on the bottom one of the flaps entirely detached from the box so if the UPS man wasnt careful then it would have fallen right through, the instruction manuals also look like they have water stains on them


anyway so I thought these were supposed to be proudly made in USA but on the white weight part you hold there are gold stickers that say Made in China so I hope its still durable to last, they are okay so far but i find it weird that they both have the pin selector on the same sides
 
those who lift weights is it better to do 12 reps per set or do for each set you just lift until failure? also is it better to lift one arm at a time or both arms like with hammer curls?

And the idiots that drop the weights are the reason the dumbbells get bent.

Ass juice on the equipment is nasy.
 
Gotta say, I love training legs! Probably because theyre a lot stronger than my upper body so I can lift a lot on them and feel good about it.
 
Went back to the fitness place again. Gotta start my cardio again. Weight alone just won't do. But then again, I had enough walking in NYC before. Gotta balance my health/fitness.
