That's pretty common. There are lots of guys who train with weights and kick some ass for around 45 minutes, and then they do 30 minutes of cardio and then get the hell out the gym to recover those muscles so they can grow. And let me tell you they look fantastic.

Yeah it's called they are on HGH, steroids, fat burners... you name it.

I know a guy who is clean now and older and continues to win every show he's in... Yes, he did take **** way back when, but he has a model, train hard, and train for a good time. I guess it's different for everyone. I am clean and I get more out of 2 hours of training busting my balls vs. just under 90 minutes. I guess it comes down to what that individual puts in their body. However, I am not going to wreck my health for the long haul to look great right now, so I need those two hours.

How many body parts are you hitting in 2hs? Cardio included in that time?

Yup I knew it, I knew someone would assume it's roids without seeing their physiques. :slap But the guys that I was referring to are not on that garbage. They are natural bodybuilders, MMA fighters, and fit athletes that look great. I'm referring to their weight training session just by itself, not the cardio or other sports activities they do. A legendary trainer named Charles Glass once told me personally in Venice Gold's Gym that if your weight training for over an hour your either over-training or talking too much. But in the end everyone is different and have different goals so you have to go with what's best for you.

Had a good couple of workouts. :rock Been having a shake at night to help feed the beast in the morning. It's been helping a lot. I wake up take a sip of water and get on it. :rock Still only down about 11 pounds. We will see tomorrow for sure. Saturday is when I weigh myself. I sleep in, poop, pee, and then hop on the scale before I eat or drink a think. :lol

I'm hoping to be in the 170's but if not I WILL be there next week. I started adding ab exercises in at night as well. Tonight will be day three of that. Feeling good today boys! I'm about to complete my first month of Insanity (tomorrow). :rock

Great job BadMoon! :clap

Stick with it.

179 as of this morning! 5 weeks left. My goal was 175. I'm thinking I can get down to 170. That would be perfect. I'm already trying to decide what's next.

I was thinking that or the P90x. Asylum looks more fun.

P90x will get you jacked but its more of a commitment. 90days vs 30.

I've been doing p90x for the past 5 months and I love the results so far. There is a lot more weight training involved than Asylum or Insanity but p90x also mixes in yoga, stretching, kenpo, cardio, plyometrics, etc. It's a great program if you want a little bit of everything with a really fun coach (Tony Horton).

Wow that's awesome and very inspiring. I respect people who stick to their goals and fulfill them successfully. :clap

I will probably end up doing both at some point. This is more of a lifestyle change than a quick fix. The hard part will be come early December. We have a one year old now and my wife is due December 6th. It's going to be that much harder to squeeze in workouts. But I will figure it out.

Do both that's what I did and I had fantastic results. I just swapped out Yoga X for an extra cardio day and did Insanity/Asylum instead of P90x's cardio because they got to easy. There are loads of hybrid schedules online you can find or make you own.

Yeah I saw some of those. I've also read that once you do insanity the cardio on p90x is pretty weak in comparison. So a lot of people do insanity instead of those workouts.

The only 'weak' P90x cardio workout is Kenpo. The other two, Plyo and Yoga, will make you sweat like crazy. I'd try Phase 1 the regular way and if that's too easy, then substitute the workouts with those from Insanity.
