do any of you have those bikecycle stands that are suppose to make youre bikecylce stationery so you can peddle in place? which ones are recommended because I heard some have fluid that leaks out and friction? thanks!

Same here. I bounce between 170 - 175 lbs, so we are almost same body weight too. :lol

Yup, pretty cool. I'm not sure about you but I gain all my weight in my stomach. You can see it in my face as well.

On a side note I just got my polar ft7 yesterday. I'm excited to see how many calories I'm burning during each workout. Especially in a week when I start month two.

Any females here that have tried Insanity or P90x? Any recommendations between the 2? :)

A few of my lady friends do Insanity mainly because the programs use less weights and have improved cardio programs than p90x. p90x require A LOT of weight training.

Check out youtube. A lot of females have done both. Can't go wrong either way. Just do both if you can.

Thanks, I'll look into it. Sometimes the videos in youtube look like infomercials so I was hoping to meet other females here who have tried it personally

Sounds good, thanks! I'd rather stay in shape than put on bulk. :D

Man the Core Cardio and Balance routine is going to get old. I have 4 more days of it. :slap

Ive been adding on the abs at night. I know this week "rest" serves a purpose. I just hope it's not that hard to get back into it with month two.

Has anyone ever tried those detoxing diets?

I've read (on the internet) countless times about this lemon juice with cayenne pepper detox diet, but it doesn't seem safe. The last thing I want to do is slow my metabolism which will happen if my body thinks its starving.

Hi BadMoon and USSWanker :) Not really interested in the dieting as I do eat healthy, I'm just curious with the detoxing part. ;)

I think what we are saying is just eat a balanced good diet. That is all the detoxing your body needs. :duff

Stoked to find this thread.

This is my primary hobby... I lift six days a week, combined with LISS, Tabata and Intervals for cardio.

Any of you guys on Fitocracy? If so, please add me and let me know you're from here. (My profile link is in my sig).

This is how I roll

Admittedly sometimes I fast for religious and also cleansing reasons. I dunno necessarily how it works, but I definitely feel better after a day of fasting. But I only do it once in a blue moon, if I feel that body just needs a "pause" if you will.

This is a pretty interesting article on fasting from MDA:

I've done Intermittent Fasting techniques, such as Lean Gains, through to just not eating every-so-often. There's loads of benefits.

Personally, the more "primal" my diet, the better I feel in general and it works so well with weight lifting, I'm packing on muscle and gaining strength.

I had a really rough night on Tuesday (think 8 month pregnant lady on a rampage). That's what I was dealing with. I think I was called every name in the book and at one point smacked with my own hoodie. :lol It sounds crazy but I can only imagine what my wife is going through. Shes been pregnant pretty much the past 2 years. :rotfl

So I started yesterday morning and burnt 446 calories on the core cardio and balance disc. Went to work and still was stewing all day. So right before I left I made the decision I was going to go all out and try a max workout during my "recovery week". So I had a slice of whole wheat bread with honey and went home and slapped the disc in. I did the Max Interval Circuit and burned 952 calories. I was STILL pissed off so I then did Cardio Abs and burnt another 205.

So yesterday I burnt a total of 1603 calories. :rock Needless to say I won't be doing that too often. But I have to admit I did feel better, albeit a bit stinky. :yess:
