You must not punch very hard. :lecture:lol

its fun. :lol
you time and control your vertical punches at the moment of impact and shat. do it until your knuckles blister and bleed then rub some lime to dry it off. repeat.

calloused knuckles, pretty handy. :lol

I bought the B.O.B. bodybag recently. I love it. Great cardio workout that's definitely not boring. The only negative or positive whichever you want to call it, is that it scares the **** out of lots of people. I remember my sister-in-law calling me and my wife on the cellphone and whispering "there is a strange man in your backyard...he's weird...he's just standing there looking creepy".......buahahahah..big dummy!!! :lol

What do you guys think about the Ecto, endo and meso morph boy type distinction?

Since i'd be an ecto it basically means i have to shovel food down my throat and only do 45 mins of working out in a session for a small result.

That doesn't look like a lifestyle to me, stuffing ones self and doing short but intense workouts with no cardio or ab work :dunno

Most guys are a combo of two though some are a def. type. I'm endo/meso. People can turn themselves into whatever they want really with the right work. Ecto's can't make their shoulders really wide but can add a few inches. Endos can give themselves a more tapered look by reducing stomach fat. Meso's, well we just hate them.

My workouts last 40-50 min. I do say back,bi's and shoulders in that time.

I do around 45-60 minutes of hard weight training but I'm at the gym for an hour and a half usually because I ride the bike for 45mins first or do abs afterwards.

I wake up at 4:30am and workout. I do this because frankly I don't have any other time to do it. On the weekends I wake up and eat and then an hour later workout. I notice on the weekends I have the best workouts because I have a ton of energy.

Does anyone have any idea on what I can eat literally 5 minutes before I start working out early in the mornings to give me a boost? I was thinking of an energy gel but I'm not sure?

I suggest working out fasted, it takes a while to get used to but it's the best for burning. In my 20's it took me a while to be able to workout without a meal and to get the big lifts accomplished. My strength is no different now with or without food. Actually with food I feel sluggish and slow, so I prefer not to eat pre-workout.

If anything just take something with about 200mg's of caffeine. Now caffeine of course is not healthy, but in moderation it's not going to kill you, that's about 1 cup of coffee. Just don't over do it and become addicted because yes too much caffeine is bad on the bones and make them brittle whenever we are 80 or 90 years old and I'm still pwning ppl!

Goodbye,

Sounds good. I just feel like I'm not getting everything out of the workouts compared to the weekends when I power through them. I will keep working. It is seriously like night and day though.

I think my first attempt(s) on fasting and really getting good at took me a year to get used to. I've trained like this for almost 10 years now so I don't even really think about it, but yea it's definitely not an over night or even over months thing.

If you told me I'd be able to wake up around 3:30-4:00 with no food and do sets on deadlifting up to 700lbs ... 10 years back I would of LOL'd but not now..... not..... now............ .... .... .. .

I was going to ask you about fasting. I have been back at lifting heavy now for 5weeks and doing it fasted. I have found zero loss in energy/strength in this time.

On a side note I have started a slow bulk till the end of Jan. so about 13-16 weeks total. Looking at a 15lb gain and hoping for a good 6lbs of lbm. I'm adding 100cals/day until I see a 1lb/week increase. Do you think this is possible? I got as low as 13% this year and looking for single digits by the end of June 2013.

45 minutes doesn't seem long enough imo

That's pretty common. There are lots of guys who train with weights and kick some ass for around 45 minutes, and then they do 30 minutes of cardio and then get the hell out the gym to recover those muscles so they can grow. And let me tell you they look fantastic.
