I repainted my Sith Anakin. He's looking a little more to the side, like in the actual movie shot. It's a full head repaint, so i also tamed the eyebrows and put more definition in his hair and the shadows under his eyes. By the way, I love the droid base. I wish we got more specialized bases like this. It was awesome in the 8" Monster line, too.

NO WAY, Zaius would whoop that "mutant humans" sith butt! I guess not, but great re-paint, I wish I had the skill, but I don't so bushy brow for me. I love the whole pic, I was gonna take some, but now...well it'd be like Michael Bolton following Andrew W.K.

An update on the Sith Anakin figure that I'm working on.... I finally finished most of his clothing, besides the black shirt and pants... just thought I would share it with all of you guys..
btw.... I am going for the "end of the duel" Sith Anakin here... hence the burnt clothing and ash...

Thanks Pjam! I actually used photo reference of the costume at CIII for the glove and some of the burn marks... I then could not help but keep going with the burns... they were fun...

Incredibly good job on that DA! How did you do the burn marks? just out of curiosity, are you planing on posing him after he gets his limbs hacked off by Obi?

Thanks Pixle! The burns were carefully achieved with a lighter and with some gray drybrushing. The Pleather doesn't burn easy and it looks like Hell if you overdo it, so extra care had to be taken. But it looks fantastic and real when you are finished. I also heated a screw and stabbed the shoulders at of the pleather to get some small burns... (as if caused by embers)

About Sith eyes, am I the only one who would have liked to have seen more of it in the film?
Like when Palpatine has his back turned after Anakin admits he'd would certainly like to kill him, Palpy could have flashed those eyes briefly before turning around. And of course, the whole duel.

I too would have loved to see a little more "Sith eyes" action in the film. I surely think that it would have explained it a little more and Anakin should have kept them after the duel began....

Your weathering effects are very realistic looking, DA. Certainly the best ones I've seen yet. Those pics look like 1:1 scale!

Wow amazing work both Mikey and DA!!! I love the way the eyes off to the side help add to the Darkside look of Anakin, and the more realistic skin-tones really help as well. And the singed/battle worn effects you're getting DA are fantastic looking... too bad Sideshow didn't go for this look than the clean version

Ditto...they both look great!!! I really like what you have done Josh...I wish I had the balls to alter a $60 figure like you. I would be to damn scared I would F it up...Great work by both of you!!!!!

Thanks everyone..... I really wanted the clothes to look fantastic, and playing with fire... a LOT could have gone wrong. So it makes me feel good to know it worked and that it doesn't look go too overboard with the burns.
Now if I can only paint a headsculpt that looks as nice as Mikey's!!
