Here is my Sith Anakin/Vader:

Mikey, that's a fabulous repaint... and DA... i LOVE what you've done to the outfit.

Both of these things are what I will be doing to mine when he gets here (still waiting in the UK) when i eventually cast my Anakin resculpt head and put it on Vader. To have Vader with the fully burnt/scratched up clothes would just be too good to be true.

I can't wait till next month.... Excellent work guys :)

Thanks Pixle!... I am gonna let it dry overnight and pop the head on tomorrow for the full unvieling of my new SITH LORD!!! :emperor

I can't wait.... He turned out much better than I thought he would.

Well Pjam....it was NOT easy in the slightest. I started out repainting him entirely in Burnt Umber and them dybrushed a grayish skin tone on it. But he looked like a ghost so I went over that at least 2 or 3 more times with a warmer tone until I was satisfied.

THEN I did the eyebrows and the lips.... The scars were traced lightly with a red/pink to highlight them better... and Finally I began work on the eyes.

I too went with his eyes looking slightly to the left, but not too much. I painted a circle of red and then a circle of yellow on top of that for the Sith eyes effect.... But then noticed on my photo reference that the red part of the eye was rough around the edges... busted blood vessels or something.. SO I then tried to add that in.... It did not look exactly how I wanted it, but I let it be. the black dot was last and the hair was finished.

I also darkened under the eyes and such to get the more evil look.... I watched the movie today and noticed that when he turned to the dark side and was scowling that his eyebrows were almost nonexistent.... so I made sure to have them very thin.... :D

Looks perfect Josh! IMO, you best custom yet...The first pic in the light looks awesome....Way to go brotha!

You might not have to wait that long, mine arrived with me on friday :clap

Also have to say that what you guys have done with these are great, to improve on a very good figure especially the weathering on the outfit :drool :drool :drool I know I wouldn't go near them with a paint brush or a lighter as I would try to be too precise trying to fix wee bits and end up overdoing it and make a mess of it or you know, burn the house down or something :devil

Nice to see all your pics and can't wait to see yours completed now with a head

This is the best I could get so far...

I need to turn his head a bit more and re-adjust the hood.

Here is the finished Anakin for you guys... minus the glossy coat on the eyes and mouth.... My gloss coat has dried to a solid inside the bottle... I need more.

Great job Darkartist! I love the eyes repaint and the battle damage outfit. It looks like you spent a lot time making this figure just right.

The battle damage does seem somewhat overdone on the costume, but it looks good overall. Those eyes are fantastic. They have a wide-eyed, crazed look to them, which fits the character perfectly.

Great job, DA!!! :chew

Thanks guys, the comments are all very much appreciated.. I spent a lot of time on ol' Anakin and am glad to see he is so well liked by my peers.

SL, I too agree on the weathering... I DID overdo it a little. But, anytime I've ever done something like that I always end up going overboard. Sad but true. :lol

He was fun as hell to make and I'm glad to have him on my shelf in his new form.

Yeah, I'm guilty of that as well. That was especially true when I used to customize my ROTS Hasbro Clonetroopers and my ROTS Hasbro Anakin Mustafar figure. Heck, I melted the nose on that one!!! :lol
