hi Guys,

The Skipper custom figure will be open for preorder tomorrow.

The Robe outfit will be offered seperately because we are still working on.

The thigh part of our body will be used, we tested it and it works very well for the big guy.

The outfit will be a bit more modified for a better look.

Thank you

Denny

:horror :panic:

Tomorrow?! Damn. That really seals the deal then, if ever there was the remotest chance of hopping on board with Agent Smith for me :lol

..but on the flip side... Tony Soprano :yess: :drool

...I can only presume that we'll be shown the final sculpt at the same time? Or is it unchanged from she first page pics?

Really digging the outfit, especially the shirt. The neck seems to sitting a tad high. If this is how it comes I'd probably look at modding mine down.

You can pad the shoulders and upper back and make him look bulkier and a little more hunched therefore making the neck look as if its sitting low without any sanding or cutting of neck length...

like axe said, i think with the neck it's just the futzing.
but still i think i would pad him up with some cotton, so he can look more wider and fat.

digging the pictures where he's standing there with his hands in his pockets.

here another pic with some missing pictures and bigger ones:

:hi5: Thanks Axe!

...you know that feeling you get from hearing the simplest and most elegant solution that didn't even cross your mind? :lol

This'd keep his height too of course, T is a big guy.

Looks really good. Doesn't seem like you'll ever get Smith Lejuan:lol

Sort of glad I haven't watched the show yet, because I could see myself really wanting this if I had

:panic:https://iminime.net/index.php New website!?

Smith who? :lol

Having this beast on my shelf alongside Tony Montana, Don Vito Corleone and Walter White... Ooh baby.... a nice line up of gangsters right there.

And Blitz mate - do yourself a favour - watch this show! It's one of the finest series ever made.

That's gonna be an awesome display mate. The Skipper is a really attractive figure. Without having watched the show I find myself really wanting him.

As good as Breaking Bad?:monkey3I'll give it a watch when I get some spare time:hi5:

As much as I love Breaking Bad, the writing and characters in The Sops are in a different league. I find the two shows equally enjoyable, but The Sopranos is more rewarding, if that makes sense. The story arcs and character development are more sophisticated imo. There were a few untidy bits re: character motivations and minor unresolved details that should have been better handled, but overall it's a cracker of a series.

And yeh, when you've watched it you WILL want this figure :lol

Not bulky enough, not enough heftiness and quite frankly, his persona and many of his characteristics and what defined him with his visage as a mob boss was that huskiness that is not captured in this figure.

I expect a lot from rainman, and this is not a "rainman" release per se. SO I know it won't be balls on accurate or top shelf like his regular releases... which I would have gladly paid for, for this particular character. It's iminime with the project -- I want to expect just as much from them as I do from rainman though. I know their turnaround is quicker, the runs are larger and the company is still growing... yada, yada, yada.

But this character per the images is not captured... it's essence is not seen or visible in the pictures posted. In maybe one or two the sculpt, body and clothing fit look 'good.' Not great.

The neck I'm not liking at all in one picture, the fit of jacket looks ill, especially with the bulk... and to say, "well, you can futz with it and modify when you get it," defeats the purpose of me paying x-amount of dollars for a figure that already is quite pricey for many.

Sounds like you should just keep your cash saved for Rainman figures

Just trying to give some critique...

And maybe you are right. Because I don't want my art figures on the same shelf with things that look like "toys."

Well seeing as the sculpt in this case is Rainman's work, and the tailoring is more or less the same standard, I don't see how this is that different from a Rainman figure (ignoring extra accessories that Rainman includes - that's not what is being compared here).
