Personally, I think it is always important to share our thoughts on anything. If we like a product, then let us make it known. But if we are unhappy with something, then let us make that known. We just need to constructive. I for one like to see what everyones opinion is on other stuff. That for me is fun. Our opinions do count for something. We are all members on this board because we love SS. I will admit though that some of the recent stuff that has happened lately could have been prevented. SSC is the best company out there, but as everyone else, they are not perfect. But they try, and that is what matters. I will always collect what SS puts out, because they make kick @$$ collectables! SSC for life! :D

Having an opinion is fine and makes this board what it is, but people are tired about all the *****ing and moaning about EVERY single piece that Sideshow announces. People complain about stuff not being made, then they complain when it is..... wanting stuff to be PERFECT out of a company thats trying their best to bring us what we love is a little extreme. some things cant be done without compromising the work, because its in such small scale. I for one love sideshow and all that they do, not all pieces have to looked at with exact precision. try looking at the piece at a distance and seeing it as what it stands for and what it means to you, and stop worrying about how Boba Fetts head is gonna fit inside of his helmet or what material hes made out of.

Polystone is NOT a derivative of gold. it doesn't matter matter what stuff is made out of for it to be worth something.

There needs to be more discussion on this board. Not complaining

that's the catch thought.......in order to have a discussion there needs to be 2 different opinions

Not to the cheerleaders. They want it to be "Isn't every SS product the greatest thing you have ever seen?" with replies that say "Yes, yes it is. I agree totally" and then a :grouphug

They're a bunch of movies. Relax--- if someone has an opinion let them express it. If you disagree then engage in discussion/debate of a mature level--- if you don't think you want to debate then simply ignore's someone's opinion and agree to disagree. I find JEDI the weaker of the OT. I don't like teddy bears when it should have been wookies. I was alive in '77 and I had the joy of seeing that destroyer fly over my head in a real honest t gosh theatre--- maybe that's what causes me to feel a certain way... your feelings were set up by JEDI and that movie holds a lace in your heart. It doesn't make you any less of a fan or me any greater---guess what, we're different... and that's OK.

Neil, I wasnt referring just to you about the hatin' on Jedi, but your quote was the most recent that stuck with me. I have seen ALOT of hate on Jedi from ALOT of people that saw Star Wars in '77. I have chosen to not jump in because when you hold a belief from '83 onward it is hard to change no matter how mature and well thought out the debate.

A SS vs. Medi Luke no-holds barred match should settle this. Whoever breaks a limb first, loses.

And thanks to you I just got water all over my screen. :lol :lol Art S. Buck may suck but at least he stays all in one piece. :lol

What? I can't read your post. You're on my ignore list. :monkey5 ;)

Unless you tell someone that they are on your ignore list ,is there anyway that they can tell? Also does this mean that threads started by the ignored person are not seen either?

Memnoch, I must say that I love it when you post if for no other reason than I get to see that lovely avatar again. :monkey5

Hmmmmmm......how about DEAD Jabba the Hutt, slouched over with chain hanging from neck? On Barge dais for $400?

I actually would go for a Jabba facing forward, a la ANH:SE or TPM:

I'd assume it would only run $120-130 again, though.

Complaints are fine and well, it is welcomed as well as praise. To me, it is all in how it is worded. If it is well thought out and there is discussion, I think it is great. I don't care much for the people who see everything as gold or the people who think everything sucks. Fortunately, there does seem to be a balance

If you think that's lovely.. there are quite a few interesting pictures of her floating around the net posing. Clothed, but very very nice. :lol Glad you and I can agree on something at least, and that is that Billie Piper is "lovely". :rotfl

While I agree conflict and differing opinions are fantastic, there is such a thing as being OVERLY critical and harping. I have seen alot of this of late and that has really turned me off to posting all that much. You don't like it, you say your piece and move on.

I have to agree with this. I don't mind criticism of Sideshow at all. I think everyone has the right to give their opinion... that's what forums are for. But I find it tiring when someone feels the need to hammer home their opinion over and over. While I would never put someone on an ignore list, I do find that I stop reading certain threads because they become tedious.

And when it comes to the harping and repition, we can point to the haters all we want and that's easy to do, but the defends do it as well. Im sure I've done it once or twice myself. No one is perfect but if we make the concentrated effort there may be less of a sharp divide and more interesting conversation.

All I know is despite the someties heated debate I have NEVER taken anything personally on here. Nor have I gotten personal with those who I am in disagreement with. I just want that on record.

That's why I found it odd that Josh put me on Ignore (and then felt the need to let me know via PM). We've had it out a few times, but I always thought we were cool. I even offered to get him Ray Park's autograph at CIV if he needed it. Oh well.

Anyway, this thread wasn't meant to be about him. It's just that this genuinely got me wondering whether this site on the whole is completely intolerant of any critical opinions. Thankfully, it seems as if most people here are pretty open-minded to ALL views. :rock

TBH, the problem with you & Josh is that you keep at it, once a debate starts neither of you back down

Do you need that kinda cra.p?

Just take a deep breath a move away from it & say it ain't worth it :D
