That's why I found it odd that Josh put me on Ignore (and then felt the need to let me know via PM). We've had it out a few times, but I always thought we were cool. I even offered to get him Ray Park's autograph at CIV if he needed it. Oh well.

I have to admit, that is a bit strange... even for Josh! But you two are the ones who usually keep the merry-go-round going.

Right. But I also don't take it personally and can go into a completely separate thread and discuss something else as if the other debate never even occurred. I just think Josh (and others) take things too personally and emotionally with some of this stuff. And you can never have a rational debate based on emotion. It's impossible.

On the other hand, some of us are like the dogs from the old WB cartoons. We scrap, claw, fight, and yell... but then we "clock out" and go onto something else as if it never happened. Because it's NOT personal. Just opinion about toys and collectibles or whatever else. That's how I roll anyway.

Some people have to repeat themselves because a fanatical minority here seem to belittle and devalue the comments of anyone who has anything negative to say about SS.

I always give my honest opinion whenever I'm on the boards, even if it's not the popular opinion.

I always think you should say what you really think about a product, because if you just go with the crowd and aren't saying what you really think then whats the point in being on the boards at all, you're not having a discussion you're just agreeing.

Like someone else said earlier someone could point out something negative about the product that you hadn't considered or thought of, so it's good to hear others opinions.

As long as there are forums there'll be people with differing opinions as long as things are kept respectful between individuals then that shouldn't be a problem.

Josh and I only ever had one run in on RS and that was like a year ago, since I've been on these boards he's made me feel welcome and we've talked about a number of SW products in PM etc.

He's cool with me and so are you Irish.

Neil, I wasnt referring just to you about the hatin' on Jedi, but your quote was the most recent that stuck with me. I have seen ALOT of hate on Jedi from ALOT of people that saw Star Wars in '77. I have chosen to not jump in because when you hold a belief from '83 onward it is hard to change no matter how mature and well thought out the debate.

I understand that when you see your favorite being taken down you react a certain way--- I still don't get why ANH is ranked so low on that ranking--- and I think the fact that you have 35+ year olds sharing with 25+ and maybe some mature 18+, all of whom entered the SW world in different moments, that's a great thing. For some it will always be Darth Vader that scares the bleep out of them--- for others it's Darth Maul's menace. I didn't take your quoting me as a bad thing--- I like referring to the ewoks as Teddies - I just wish in a world with so many bigger problems and major disagreements that we could all agree to disagree and ALL agree that we share an affection for a common joy.

I'll chime in here and say this... no one's opinions will ever be censored here, as long as people remain civil and follow the few rules that have been setup. One of most easily abused rule (that will always get the post deleted, thread locked, or worst) is attacks on other board members; from the FAQ...
