Of course I was er---- kidding. It's not like we Canadians have some diabolical plot to take over all of North America by the year 2009---- he he he... Tom is the linchpin. He must be--- wait a second, I'm speaking outloud again.

Damn.

Ahem, as was once said by Robin Williams, "Canada is like the loft apartment over a REALLY great party! 'Keep it down down there, eh!'"

Everything I know about Canada I learned from SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER, and UNCUT.

:lol Just kidding! :lol

I actually have family in both the Toronto and Vancouver areas and have been there several times. Beautiful country and cool people (and not just because they're freezing half the year ;) ).

Man, I didn't realize me telling someone what I told Irish in PM would start a whole thread. I also love how everyone seems to know me and what I'm thinking, feeling, whatever better than I do. :lol Irish is not the only person I've put on ignore lately and won't be the last. I've been doing it as to keep myself from causing Dave any issues. I've also done it so maybe I can enjoy the boards a little bit more. Over the last couple of months I've seriously thought about quitting this board and walking away and I know from talking with another long time member during lunch that they have also thought about the same. Not because I/we can't stand people saying something against SS, but the attitude and how people choose to just keep going on. It's never been that and never and never will be about saying something against SS despite what some people seem to think they know about me.

The reason I've been putting people on ignore is those that just won't let it go when they don't like something. They beat that horse and won't let it die already. They go tossing out just plain outrageous accusations that they have no proof on and honestly it gets old reading them. It really just sucks the fun out of collecting. I don't need a board where everyone is like me at all but I would like to see this board gravitate more back to what it was before SW. Another type of person I've added to ignore is Kodiak because he made nasty crack about my Mom. My family is very important to me as those of you who have met my Mom & Dad the last two years at SDCC.

In the end I let Irish know so he could stop wasting his time on my posts that bothered him and so I could go about trying to enjoy the board in the way I wanted. I'm not sure what the stink is over really.

Heck I'll post my ignore list if people really wanna know. :lol

Damn.

I have a top secret defense strategy of my own:

Ignore lists? Who needs ignore lists? Reading through forum conflicts is like watching 'The Real World'. You know you shouldn't waste your time watching it because you've got more important things to do, but you just can't help yourself.

I can't imagine anything getting personal enough on a forum board for me to need to use ignore lists, but everyone has different thresholds and tolerance levels. It's hard for someone to say something that seriously gets me worked up. I like reading others opinions and hearing their views on a subject. I really dig SSC's stuff, but it's not above criticism, nothing is. SSC, Medicom, GG, Master Replicas and (dare I say) even Hasbro all have the abililty to do some amazing work, but they all also have the ability to screw up from time to time too. You've just got to accept that. Whether it's a ROTJ helemt on an ANH sandtrooper, or buns that aren't quite the right proportional size, very little is ever truly perfect and sometimes those imperfections really aren't as important as they are made out to be.

So long as criticism is constructive and doesn't consist of "everything sucks" or "everything rocks", it's always valuable.

So keep it up and no one should feel as though they need to bail out because they're on an ignore list or because they don't agree with someone else's opinions.

Obviously I can't put anyone on ignore, as much as I'd like to. But IJ wouldn't be one of them.

Sure, his complete disregard for the facts about Boba is annoying, but we won't go into that here (please).

Discussion and disagreement is bound to happen, without differing opinions every thread would be like:

Post 1: Wow, it's great!:D

Post 2: Yeah! :chew

Post 3: Fantastic! :rock

Bannister: :rock :rock:rock:rock:rock:rock:rock

I agree that critiscism is a good thing and makes life interesting on these boards. There has been an increase in negative comments recently but only because its warranted. Up until Jabba everything was rosy but since then there have been some poor releases by SS. Bubo, Endor troops, Chess table with no characters to go with it and a sub par Leia head sculpt. Sometimes the critiscism can get too much I agree, but it serves its purpose. Plo Koon has had his lightsaber colour changed and his tunic redone because of negative comments. Had we all been SS cheerleaders then that wouldnt have happened. Things can get heated but thats because we are passionate about our hobby. I think putting someone on ignore because you cant take the critiscism is a little too sensitive.

I am going to make Josh a special T-Shirt for SDCC that reads "Don't Talk To Me. You Are On My Ignore List."
