Sorry if you took it that way, Josh. No disrespect was intended. I was only trying to point out that a lot of people take the rolleyes smilie as being pretty harsh. Some forums that I frequent have "banned" it for that very reason.

Its cool. I just added it for emphasis thats all. :D

The only thing I can come up with is that the eyelines on the two wizards don't seem to entirely match-up, but that is admittedly a very small nitpick.

You know, that's a pretty keen point, didn't notice that before. Maybe it's the angle photo was taken at.

especially the bust...you know, the one that doesn't even slightly look like him :lol

What are you talking about the theres nothing wrong with the WETA bust, funny how everyone likes to put down WETA but nothing STILL even comes close. I'm sure this will be a nice piece. I would get it but I have the animated GG Saruman & Gandalf which is a similar scene. This piece looks good but hard to judge on preview pics. Have to wait and see if I can't resist.

If Gandalf is getting knocked on his rear then I forgive him for not maintaining eye contact on his way down.

But it also looks like Saruman is looking over Gandalf's head, at least from the angle of this preview pic. If that is the case it might look slightly awkward, but still nothing worth getting too concerned about.

Are they even taken from the same angle? The pics I mean. they could be scrunched together to get them in the PV.

That's a very good point. The preview could be a composite. We'll know more next Thursday.

Speculations on the size, ES and price anyone?

My guess is that the characters will be about the same as the Aragorn dio, but the price should be less, since there is less background, and fewer characters represented.

I must say I love my Weta statue and bust of Saruman and although I hate to admit it, I think the new GG Saruman bust is for me the BEST likeness of all so far! Even so this Dio will be amazing!

I have it too... and some rage or anger on his face would have worked a whole lot better, at least IMO :D

BUT does Aragorn often look angry in battle? I watched the films again during a week off and in alot of fights he's actually pretty calm and has that feeling of knowing what he's doing. I don't think the sculpt lacks expression, to me he's re-focusing on his next target after dispatching the beserker. The back of the box even says as much.

The size of this I would say is gonna be pretty decent. I think there's more there than what we see in the preview. This is the type of piece that they can hide some stuff in the PV. ES? I'd say 1k-1,200 probably based on the reactions. Plus you factor in people are liking the first two more and more as they get them or got them in hand. Price I'm thinking the same area as the Aragorn Dio with a chance it could be a touch more. Why? I'm thinking that we aren't seeing everything you get with this piece.

Totally with ya FE!

And what about price for this one Josh?... In line with the Helm's Deep dio do you think?

I don't think it'll cost more than the Helms Deep dio. I thought their aim with the first two was to show the difference in scale they could do, so I think Helms Deep would be the most expensive they'll release, but I also think there'll be bigger scenes....just parts of it released seperately.
Also with the Helms Deep dio you got 3 characters, the wall, and a ladder, so I wouldn't think that a dio consisting of 2 characters and *maybe* a bit of background wall would justify it being any more expensive or even the same. UNLESS they really are gonna blow us away and include a hell of alot more!

I kinda thinking from the preview pic it will maybe be more around $200. I know also that I am gonna be ordering right when the newsletter pops up because SS may pull another faux bronze bananza on us.:lol:emperor

My thoughts exactly-- and it'd be nice to have two Christopher Lee faux bronze fight encounters from two different great movies--- now they just need to release a faux bronze dio of Roger Moore facing off with Lee in The Man With The Golden Gun and it'd be a perfect trio.:D

As long as you are happy with it, then that's all that really matters :D

And I don't think "everyone" likes putting Weta down. I think whenever Weta did something right they were praised for it and when they didn't, they were criticized. Isn't this exactly what happens with SS whenever they introduce a new piece?
