Hmm looks like to me that they reused the T-Rex maquette from the Dinosauria line and painted it black and resculpted the head.....also the exclusive is the exact same thing as the T-Rex maquette only they resculpted the skull piece to look like Venom's head. So pretty much it looks as a reused sculpt to me.

I actually like it, the size is just right cause it would be too expensive if it was larger. The Venom head really makes me want it . It looks good, and I will order it, but with SDCC comin up, not sure If I can keep it.

They really should have saved this for a Black Friday exclusive; it would have driven up lots of interest and people probably would have been excited about it since Black Friday releases are typically repaints and more obscure by nature. Also, what the heck is up with the EX? Venom's Eddie Brock head wasn't sitting on a rock in the comic line...

I have to admit that after seeing the photos, I don't know how I feel about it. Either the photos don't do it justice or...it's lacking something. I was actually hoping for more detail. I want to see a Backstage pass on this one to tell for sure.

This might be one of those pieces that will look a lot better with in-hand pics.

Yeah it was....Logan decapitated Venom and the head somehow swelled up and crawled onto a rock. Good job Sideshow

I just think it is really bad timing on their part to release such an unknown character right before SDCC cause this will more than likely be at least $300 to be generous, and there will be so much awesomeness released during SDCC, most ppl will end up cancelling to get something else. Without seeing it, If the ES is larger than 300 for the Ex, they will have a hard time selling it initially, but once its on the gift card list for awhile, it will get picked up. This really should have been something they saved for B&W friday with an ES of 100.

Ah, yes. Let the Sideshow buttkissing commence. No one ever said the Marvel line is doomed nor did I say that the pieces we have been clamoring for are never going to be made, I just said that Sideshow can be out of touch with their fan base. This has nothing to do with "this one comiquette."

Examples:

4. Lady Deathstrike vs. X-23
5. Namor vs. Iron-Man
6. the MASSIVE amount of requested characters that have not been released

Look at the Marvel items (comiquettes, PFs, dioramas) that made Sideshow's Marvel line popular and then look at some of the examples.

Second to only the Hulk PF, Man-Thing is my favorite SS Marvel piece.
