Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I agree that was kinda lame ^ (in your spoiler)

Otherwise it was fine.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

How many episodes are we getting this season, if it is 12 then it is moving way too slow compared to last season.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I have a feeling the budget cuts have a lot to do with the slower pace. You can't double the number of episodes, slash the budget and expect it to look and feel as impressive as the first season. I haven't read the comics though, so perhaps the pace got slower during the farm portion there as well and the show is just following suit? :dunno

At any rate, I'll be glad when they finally find that damn little girl. Who is she, Houdini?

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Indeed. Despite him only being in 2 eps, Merle is one of my favorite characters and seeing him return in one of the things I'm looking forward to. I also think it will add some more tension since they're gonna have to deal with Shane at some point as well.

I still think they'll find Sophia alive, but if they don't I won't be surprised. I just hope they don't drag it on much longer though.

Merle is a character I love to hate! He's awesome! I can't wait for his return!

The Group having to deal with the return of Merle and Shane at some point will make for a great plot line!

I hope they find Sophia, alive or (un)dead, soon.

Sideboob! :yess:

Carl finally got the hat!

I'm also hoping the Merle is back and it's not just an hallucination. I remember in a season 2 preview it showed Rick and Ted dragging a bloody Daryl to the house.

:lol

Seeing Carl in the hat was great! I think next episode we'll see Merle back if nothing more than at the end of the episode.

That fat/bloated zombie down in the well was gross and I almost puked while I was enjoying a piece of cheesecake.

:lol :lol :lol

When he fell apart...soooo gross...yet awesome.

I figured something would happen but when the Swimmer tore in two I was shocked! AWESOME!

The zombie in the well had a purpose - of course, sometimes plot polints don't happen in the same episode.

This zombie, along with a couple other comments and looks this week, are just a set up to what they find in the barn and what the attitude of Herschel's people are to the zombies.

Another good episode - the development of the relationship between Maggie and Glenn worked, as well as the hint of the division it will bring with Herschel. I'm not quite sure why Herschel is in such a big hurry for them to leave though - it's not like he has a strong community there. Three women and one man, plus him, doesn't really make for the strongest group, and I'd think he would want to bring in others to his fold. We'll see how that plays out as whatever secrets he clearly has get exposed.

Also, who is hiding at the farm house that Darryl found? Was it Sophie, or someone else? And if it was someone else, will they be a witness to Shane's act?

And of course, Lori now knows she's pregnant...making the situation with Shane all the more difficult.

We'll see what all the walkers mean to Hershel and his group later, like in the comic. It should be interesting to see!

I think that Sophia was hiding in the farm house and ran away when she heard Daryl thinking it was a Walker/Roamer.

Now that Lori know's she is pregnant...I wonder if the show will follow the story as set in the comics?

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

It's funny how many people are whining about the survivor-based episodes. I think you guys have a complete misunderstanding about what The Walking Dead is all about. :lol

I imagine Hershel wants them to leave for serveral reasons. 1. Because they don't Rick's group to find what they are hiding in the barn and they're worried about how they'll react. 2. Because they don't want to have to share food and other essential resources and 3. I think Hershel is in denial of just how bad it really is. He still thinks there's gonna be a cure and this is all just gonna end abruptly like the plagues.

As for who has been hiding in the house Daryl found it's probably Sophia or Merle would be my guess.

I think it's just because the whole isolated farm thing is so been there, done that in the zombie genre.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Watched "Save the Last One" last night.

1) Walking Dead is the best drama I'm watching right now.

2) Daryl is my favorite character.

3) Shane is a budding sociopath.

Can we please reserve "Spoiler" tags for Comic spoilers?

It's my policy that I will not read anything posted after an episode I haven't watched. If I read something posted since then it's my own fault if it spoils something. I've been reading all the spoilers dealing with the first three episodes 'cos that's where all the interesting discussion about Shane was, but then I would click on one that was a comic spoiler and it would piss me off.

I think the Spoiler tags should be used:

1) For comic spoilers and,
2) For spoilers about episodes that have not aired yet.

I wouldn't click on either, but for those that want one or the other, perhaps the poster could indicate which kind of spoiler it is.

Thoughts? :huh

:goodpost::exactly:

This is exactly what I thought when reading some previous posts. This show is not going to be a George Romero film every week, if you don't like that, I suggest you move on.

I suggested this earlier, but I am not sure it caught on yet.

Totally agree, I love the story and character developement that goes into it. The zombie action is minimal, but when it does happen its good and its enough to tide me over til the next episode. Im really into the characters and as much as Im a horror guy, the story is great and the zombies dont need to be the center point of every episode.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Soggy, waterlogged zombies FTW! :yess:

Something tells me that Season 2 culminates in the prison with Laurie getting blasted ...

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

+1 for spoiler tag on comic content and hypothesis / projections on upcoming TV episodes based on knowledge of comic content

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I think it's just because the whole isolated farm thing is so been there, done that in the zombie genre.

There are whole issues of the comics where zombies might appear on a single page (if at all) and the farm house is relevant to the story, even in the comics, so it's important. I'm gonna agree with Sexy and say that if people are getting disappointed by these episodes, they'd be better served taking their ADD elsewhere. The Walking Dead refers to the living, not the zombies (even though they're called walkers). The series is about this group of survivors living through the zombie apocalypse and the struggles they endure in that world. Realistically it makes sense that not every issue they'll need to face would be zombies. :huh

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Gotta agree with Nam - not sure how anyone thinks this season is slower than last. I'm betting we won't be on Herschel's farm anymore come Thanksgiving.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Did anyone see the "Talking Dead" after? They had Lauren Cohan (Maggie) on and she talked about acting out the pharmacy scene. She had a British accent. Didn't know she grew up in the UK.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

The only problem I have with the pacing so far is the search for the little girl. I'm tired of watching them wander the woods. Find her and move the plot along.

I have no problem with the zombie count, we just had a ____load of them in the episode before last.

I didn't bother cause the past couple have sucked but if they actually get the actors on there then I might watch those. She is hot!

The show does suck but I always watch for 3 reasons....

1. They offer up nuggets (answers) to things that flew over my head during that night's episode.

2. They offer up a brief trailer for next week which is different from the end of the current episode one.

3. They might have actors on from the show offering their perspective. Last night it was Maggie and Glenn.

~Yes, she is attractive. Lay off man, she is mine....mine damn it! :lol

Completely agree. Seems that some people are impatient for the next zombie killing spree and don't understand what the show is really about.
