Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Well I gotta say I was a bit dissapointed in tonights ep. It was slow and not much happened but at least
Glen got laid and Lori is indeed pregnant. Can't wait for next weeks ep though with Merle. I read the ep is supposed to be a Daryl ep so I wonder if Merle is only in flashbacks or if he's returned.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Although tonight's episode was slow...

I did like that Maggie and Glenn hooked up. Lori is pregnant and we may have seen clues that Sophia is still alive. I'm looking forward to next week's episode since Merle was shown.

I could be wrong but it doesn't look like Merle is a flashback since he says "It doesn't look like you'll make it" or something like that.

Maybe he's talking to Daryl?

Indeed though also when they were talking about Sophia, Hershel gave Maggie a weird look so I also wouldn't be surprised if she's in the barn, though I really hope not. I also still think Merle could have taken her. I think next week we'll see why Daryl is so invested in finding Sophia. He mentioned in the last ep he was lost for days when he was younger and no one looked for him so I think he sympathizes with what it's like to be alone and lost in the woods. As for Merle I hope he makes a real appearence. I expect him to become a major problem at some point.

If you haven't read the comic, DF, don't read!

I hope Merle isn't a flashback also!

I think that when Hershel looked at Maggie it was because they "herd" all the dead into the barn like in the comic book instead of destroying them. Not because Sophia is in there.

I think you're right about Daryl sympathizing with Sophia and that's why he so invested in finding her.

Yeah I knew Hershel keeps zombies of family and friends in his barn (in fact I think you confirmed that to me before) and because he gave Maggie that weird look when they were talking about Sophia, I haven't ruled out that she may be dead or deadish.

As for Merle, he could be a hallucenation, they showed a preview of next weeks ep during Hell on Weels that shows Daryl falling off a horse into a ravine and one of his arrows pierces him.

Well the show has deviated from the comic here and there, so Sophia being dead could be a possibility.

I saw TWD preview during HoW and Daryl could be hallucinating but I hope not. I want to see Merle come back to cause some problems for the group.

Indeed. Despite him only being in 2 eps, Merle is one of my favorite characters and seeing him return in one of the things I'm looking forward to. I also think it will add some more tension since they're gonna have to deal with Shane at some point as well.

I still think they'll find Sophia alive, but if they don't I won't be surprised. I just hope they don't drag it on much longer though.

Sideboob! :yess:

Carl finally got the hat!

I'm also hoping the Merle is back and it's not just an hallucination. I remember in a season 2 preview it showed Rick and Ted dragging a bloody Daryl to the house.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

That fat/bloated zombie down in the well was gross and I almost puked while I was enjoying a piece of cheesecake.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Even if they'd gotten the zombie out, who the hell is gonna drink water that an infected, rotting corpse has been steeping in? The gore was fun to watch, but that whole sequence was totally ridiculous.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Wow, this has to be the worst episode yet, IMO. Rick and Lori sit around Carl, again. Daryl goes looking for Sophia, again. Glenn gets laid and at some point there's a ridiculous walker in a well, that while cool and gory, servers no point at all and just seemed like 'zombie filler' to remind us we're watching a zombie show.

They really seem to be stretching it out at this point. There is nothing important in this episode that couldn't have been included in last weeks episode.

On the other hand, I finally got around to watching the webisodes and that 15 minutes of story was great. Reminded me of how good this show can be, too bad it hasn't been so far this season, IMO.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

The zombie in the well had a purpose - of course, sometimes plot polints don't happen in the same episode.

This zombie, along with a couple other comments and looks this week, are just a set up to what they find in the barn and what the attitude of Herschel's people are to the zombies.

Another good episode - the development of the relationship between Maggie and Glenn worked, as well as the hint of the division it will bring with Herschel. I'm not quite sure why Herschel is in such a big hurry for them to leave though - it's not like he has a strong community there. Three women and one man, plus him, doesn't really make for the strongest group, and I'd think he would want to bring in others to his fold. We'll see how that plays out as whatever secrets he clearly has get exposed.

Also, who is hiding at the farm house that Darryl found? Was it Sophie, or someone else? And if it was someone else, will they be a witness to Shane's act?

And of course, Lori now knows she's pregnant...making the situation with Shane all the more difficult.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I generally liked the episode. But in all I agree with others, things HAVE been too slow this season if you ask me. I don't need 2 episodes of rick and laurie worrying and crying about their son. Yea, we get it you're upset, but move on and get moving with the plot. Same with Andrea...enough. I really hope things start to pick up soon. I don't need the whole season to be about finding this damn little girl when there is so many better story-lines from the comic that can be explored.

Also, the part included where Rick was struggling with himself because he lied to Carl about Sophia was just ridiculous. Waaaaay too over the top..acting wise and dialogue. It was a good 10 min wasted on that. He acted like it was a moral sin because he told a stupid white lie. Get over it. :slap
