First was people demanding deaths.
Then crying about the deaths being to horrific.
Now we have fake youtube reaction videos.....

Everyone is just begging for attention. Once episode 2 has aired it will all calm down.

I still find it funny that so many people have complained about the bat head bashing in episode 1 yet season 6 ended with someone getting their head bashed in. Serious question to the haters: did you really think the series was going to open with anything but seeing the head bashing or were you expecting to see Rick and co toasting marshmallows round a fire or something?

Right.

Rick and co. were murdering saviors left and right, did some "fans" really think Negan was just going to let that slide?

Also, (since this appears to be unknown to some) this TV show is based on an EXTREMELY brutal comic book. This shows still pales in comparison to it.

This show should've been on HBO.

Also, IT'S JUST A TV SHOW.

Yup. It wasn't Rick and co defending themselves. They were flat our murdering people. In their sleep. People that did nothing to Ricks group. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I actually cannot believe what I´m reading here.
The ONLY one who gets it gets hated by all the others and that´s Jokes&Bats, or at least all against him tend to come over that way

The sugestion was made by someone, can´t find the post, that YOU are weird ones.
Maybe not weird, but out of touch.

Jokes&Bats has THE point. It´s not about the amount of gore, violence and such. It´s about the KIND of violence shown.

What Negan did to Glenn was nothing TWD specific, it was REAL...not realistic, but REAL.
This **** happens all around the world, every day.
Ungrateful, spoiled, misgrown teenage ***** who drink, smoke, do drugs, rape girls and kick elderly heads in JUST. BECAUSE.

How many news do you read where it says that 2, or 3 (maybe more) people assaulted others, punched them, kicked them, continued to do so, when lying on the ground...on their heads. This is REAL ****. This people, in their last minutes had mangled thoughts and eveything just like Glenn did.

THAT is the problem and maybe, JUST MAYBE, all you guys who only think from 12AM to noon on that matter, should take a lesson in empathy.

And no, Devil...I am NOT gay.

Honestly, all this outrage is sensationalist bull****. Let's talk about REAL ****. ISIS chops people's heads off and posts that **** on the internet. That's real. That happens. And yet, when the Governor lobbed Hershel's noggin off his neck, I didn't see anywhere near this much outrage. There were reaction videos, but there weren't parents groups going nuts about it. ****, Gotham has severed heads all the time and that's a Batman show that children are way more likely to watch than this. It's in an earlier time slot, is not rated TV-MA and does not provide disclaimers for audiences who might, potentially, be offended. At least, I don't think so. So, again, where's the outrage?

I don´t watch Gotham. I don´t know that.
And for ****´s sake...don´t get political, man.
Never did I ignore ISIS, I just didn´t bring it up.
I just mentioned the real pain of something you can a grip on, that is that people getting there heads kicked in at a train station happens on a daily basis.
In my country, that is.
It´s more palpable that ISIS. ISIS is not gone, TWD just showed what can happen to someone you love...15 minutes after they left the house, for example.

It´s the psychological thing, not the physical. You guys get that?

I supposse my rep point came from Jokes&Bats: Anytime, brother. :1-1:

Who says I'm being political? I'm only pointing out a real group that does some of the **** perpetrated on screen on The Walking Dead. I get that people have their limits. So do I. I can watch this or the dismemberment from Robocop without blinking, but, for whatever reason, the kid on the bike getting hit in The Toxic Avenger or the barbed wire beheadings in Hobo with a Shotgun? Can't do it. I know they're crazy and over the top, but, for whatever reason, it's just not palatable to me, so? I don't watch it. Plain and simple. This stuff was in the books. It's one of the handful of times they've been relatively accurate to the source material, and I really don't see the big deal.

People who read the comic knew what to expect, and people who didn't, should have. The showrunners made no secret of the fact that someone would die, they leave it on a cliffhanger with the bat smashing into someone's head from a first-person angle, giving people, like, 6 months to prepare themselves, they include disclaimers about graphic content and viewer discretion being advised, and, if that wasn't enough, the episode was bloated as ****, with a bunch of drawn out filler to give people multiple chances to turn back before the moment of truth. I'm not even saying it was a great episode, I'm just saying anyone offended by what they saw in it has no one but themselves to blame.

This reads itself as if you didn´t read what I wrote on one part, on the other as if you did.

The thing is where you SEEM to have less empathy is your onedimensional argumentation.
You CAN´T prepare for something like this and you CAN´T imagine what certain people go through. Maybe there´s personal reasons (like me), or you love the show, love the characters, so you need to go though this, kind of. But you choose to do it to follow the beloved characters.
So please do yourself the favor and don´t argue on something you CLEARLY have no understanding of.
I´m not trying to come over as a ****, just stating what your opinion sounds to me.
I´m not stating that you are emotionless, but you clearly lack empathy, in my book.

In this particular case? I am lacking in empathy. If you watch a show that is continuously filled with graphic violence, you know that there is going to be graphic violence, you expect graphic violence, and then are offended by the graphic violence? That's on you. Yeah, people get bludgeoned to death in real life. It happens, and it's a horrific thing, but lots of horrific things happen in real life and film and entertainment are still going to continue to reflect the world around them. A zombie apocalypse may not be realistic, but, whatever the setting, these characters are still human beings and they're bound to reflect real human behavior. Both good and bad, alike.

WTH?
You still argue with the point of physical violence.
Do you not want to get the point of the problem being the psychological side, or do you just decide to block that fact?
Everyone expected that, but you actually SEE a loved one getting bludgeoned.
This triggers thoughts and fears.
You get that?

I was wondering what you were talking about and you were correct in that I hadn't read all of your posts. I'm very sorry about your mother and I can understand how that could be traumatizing.

It's funny that this thread somehow feels like a political debate now, with folks saying how they can't understand how someone thinks differently than they do. Live and let live fellas. I agree that this episode was different than the violence that came before, due to Glenn's involvement, the buildup, and the way everyone had to look on helplessly. So, I do understand why this would affect people in ways other deaths hadn't.

Damn, she has had it rough.
Don't worry though, I'm sure she'll be joining them soon.

It was "REAL"? Come down from lala land.

Capital letters also don't make you anymore right than anyone else. Your ability to identify others who are sympathetic to your opinion doesn't make you right either.

You have an opinion. Others disagree. If you can't respect that, go some where else.

I understand people have views but I find it strange that it's taken until season 7 for people to start having these views about the show.

I guess friends killing friends, head decapitations, cannabilism, throat slitting, shooting children with their backs turned and so on is all OK until an iconic comic character turns up with a bat and stays true to the source material.

The show did exactly what it intended to do, people talking about the show and got great ratings. The majority who didn't like the last episode will still be here watching come the end of season 7.

"Go somewhere else"
:lol
Are you kidding me?
You´ve gotta be kidding. Who´s gonna take that serious?

And did you just call me crazy, or something like that?
If you can´t keep a respectful tone, maybe YOU should go somewhere else, how ´bout that?

The kind of violence is real, not like getting eaten by someone and I think I explained myself thoroughly.
If you´re not in the mood to read everything, then don´t read at all, cause otherwise you shoot out of context.
Not helpful.

If you don´t get what I´m saying stay out of it...

Nope. Not kidding. You did explain yourself thoroughly. Hence my entirely thorough response. Entirely. Do you need your pretend violence to be perpetrated by a fantasy creature in order to feel safe? What is it, exactly, that makes you feel threatened by the graphic portrayal of violence? Why do you begrudge others who are able to see such pretend things and keep it in the back of their minds that it is just pretend? How do you find it so easy to label others as lacking empathy? Why are you so quick to judge? Why do you favor the CAPS key so much?

I understood your post... Entirely.

Oh and one more thing. I didn't call you crazy. Perhaps I might have inferred that you are a bit naive.
