So what exactly did Michonne find at the end???

Yeah really good episode. The group is going through some tough **** and Negan will get what's coming at some point. The ending with Michonne finding the mattresses was just so sad and ****ed up. I also like the fact Rick brings up old friend Shane. Gives me the memories of the earlier seasons.

Episode sucks, it was hard to watch. They had all those guns and knew those asshats were showing up and just gave them everything. The Alexandrians could have put a bullet in Negan and get it over with. Who cares about Darrell, sacrifice him for the greater good.

I wonder what the emotional impact to the viewers would have been if.....

1) We saw the death of Abraham and Glenn in last season's finale and waiting for months to see the emotional impact on the group.

or

2) After the first episode of this season we immediately followed Rick and Co back to Alexandria defeated, shocked, mourning the loss and having to explain to the people that things have changed. If we follow the shows actual airing, we the viewers have already had a month to get over Glenn & Abraham outside the show. So the impact of returning to Alexandria in not that hard

I am also trying to weigh which "Glenn Death" I thought had more impact with me at first viewing. Was it the Dumpster death where there was nowhere to run, no escape, having the **** luck of a guy blowing his head and falling on you into a pool of Zombies and having you insides ripped open. Or having your head bashed in when your on your knees and nowhere to run.

Negan showed up sooner than they imagined and Rick is running scared right now.

As for killing Negan, there's just too many of his group. Rick even said that even with them and Hilltop combined, they would still be greatly outnumbered.

And.....it's a story, not real life.

I honestly like the way it played out. For one thing, when he Lucilled Abraham, it made Glenn's death more shocking. I didn't expect it to happen.

Have you seen Negan move? Dude's fast. If someone had pulled a gun on him they'd get a bullet to the eye from the gun he's got under his armpit.

Also, he has a truly loyal following that enjoys killing for him.

Kill the leader and those scumbags will self destruct fighting to lead since they are all pu$$ies right now under Negan. Yes I know they are following the comics right now, but any other person being threatened in their house would fight like the Alexandrians did last season.

The way Negan mind-screws them is something else. Just the little details like making Rick walk around all day with Lucille. The sheer arrogance and confidence that he knows he can turn his back to him at any time... The burnt mattresses just rubbing salt into the wounds. He's really a guy to love to hate. Aided by how funny and charming he is with that arrogance.
