Kill the leader and those scumbags will self destruct fighting to lead since they are all pu$$ies right now under Negan. Yes I know they are following the comics right now, but any other person being threatened in their house would fight like the Alexandrians did last season.

There's a lot of them that think just like him and aren't pussies at all. I'm not sure if "cut off the head of the snake and the body dies" would apply here.

You could have all packed up, abandoned the city, and been nomadic again. You could have booby trapped the city. You could have left and flooded the city with walkers making it almost impossible to occupy. You could have died fighting (a few RPGs would made them stop and think). But instead they did nothing and just handed everything over. I don't remember how it went down in the comic but from a strategic persepective this was the worst choice they could have made- to do nothing.

And I can tell you this- if your woman doesn't respect you, you won't be together long. That last scene with Rick making up the floor bed with two pillows while michonne watched- I thought for sure she was going to say she was going to sleep in the other room for a few days or to sort some things out. Because she clearly began to question his dignity and fortitude by rolling over and giving Negan everything they had- known, unknown, hidden, etc.

Another thing is they knew Negan was going to take half of everything, why keep a damn list of the guns man???!!! Stupid writing on this episode.

Episode sucks, it was hard to watch. They had all those guns and knew those asshats were showing up and just gave them everything. The Alexandrians could have put a bullet in Negan and get it over with. Who cares about Darrell, sacrifice him for the greater good.

I felt the same way. He should have been prepared, had a lookout and as soon as they spotted them, armed the community and had them take advantageous positions.

I really think they could have gotten away with minimal casualties.

Whoever wasn't in the Negan group, that was left behind, probably wouldn't have posed a big threat and would have taken a big morale hit.

The show has been renewed for Season 8. They have another 28 episodes to fill. Killing Negan and the Saviors off in this episode would have been a stupid idea.

Even though we all know in the end Negan get's his due the writing for this episode sucked big time.Rick completely wusses' out leading his community.He knew what was coming and totally did nothing to prepare the people.When Negan arrived Alexandria did not even know who he was.Rick and the gang come back to Alexandria all beat up and bloody with two members Dead and Daryl missing.Which means Rick or any of the others that were at the beat down did not even tell the rest of the community what happened and what was coming.Do you believe that?I can't accept that.Really felt like this episode skipped something like Rick's Balls' which is unacceptable.

The way Negan mind-screws them is something else. Just the little details like making Rick walk around all day with Lucille. The sheer arrogance and confidence that he knows he can turn his back to him at any time... The burnt mattresses just rubbing salt into the wounds. He's really a guy to love to hate. Aided by how funny and charming he is with that arrogance.

Dont forget the neverending smiling. Negans smiling is the worst thing about the mind screw.
His grin really really drives the point home.

This is what got glenn killed... this is what almost got carl his arm chopped off.

U dont think negan would have had a couple of people watching all the roads? U dont think he might have look outs.
Lets not forget daryl and how they wouldnt want to leave him...

Did u learn NOTHING from his speech about the baby? Keeping shanes baby alive?

JDM was fantastic casting for Negan too - he owns that role.

2, 3 times they asked Negan about only taking half, why they are taking so much. they believed his word.

Haven't been pushed to watch episodes 3 and 4. Just not feeling it this year. Same for Flash, but that's taken a nosedive since Season 3 started.

Even if you didnt read the comics it's clear theyre letting rick and crew hit rock bottom to make the come back more rewarding. And it's clear theyre setting dwight up as the turn. Theyve already humanized him and gave him motivation and feelings et al. And it's clear that it'll take all 3 communities to beat negan in what could make the prison battle look like an after school fight.
