They should from April-ish thru November-ish. They likely finished up shooting the season before Thanksgiving. That's mostly during the summer, but there would certainly be a lot of overlapping with semesters - end of Spring and most of Fall actually. Typically you see them in jackets at the beginning of a season and again at the end. During the middle they lose them because that's the peak of the Georgia summer. They'll coming off of spring/winter when they shoot and end going into fall/winter. Notice Negan is the only one wearing a jacket right now and that because its central to his look. Rick's Bomber is MIA at the moment - just his fall back button up shirts.

They couldn't make it work, just as they've shot around his high school work. Frankly, he should make it work as much as possible because who knows what his future holds. Make that bank now while its available. He might not ever get any acting gigs after Walking Dead and whatever he majors in likely won't pay like being an actor could. Smart he's not counting on being on Walking Dead for the rest of his life and getting an education, but hopefully he and his parents are smart enough to make Walking Dead work around his college work.

Well, I've got to say I'm not really enjoying this season so far. Hopefully all the focus on these new communities pays off down the line.

Alanna Masterson's weight gain distracted the hell outta me tonight. Then I read she was pregnant all throughout the shoot of this season.

Good episode even though Tara is an incredibly weak character.
