I want my hour back...other than Tara's jugs flying all over the place, this episode was a complete waste of time

Yeah, this episode was pretty useless when you look at it episodically, but in the big picture these wom n will probably play a part in the downfall of Negan. Too many enemies and not enough allies.

agree 100% My former ambivalence for this show has succumbed into total disregard for it. They are not doing ANYTHING with it.....it's old and it's stale....not worth my time anymore. I said that if I didn't see some sort of movement towards some endgame resolution that this will more than likely be where I get off the bus. ****, I'd rather watch and make fun of Once Upon a Time than this show. And now Westworld has only one episode left so I will be free to watch whatever I want on Sunday nites since I have no reason to watch anything in particular that specific night anymore. The ONLY episode done well this season was the first one, after that they have all really been lackluster. I called their BS cliffhanger ploy last season which was totally un-necessary and they are just circling with zero sense of direction. Expect to lose more people after the mid season finale, which I'm sure they will have some sort of cliffhanger to be the carrot at the end of the stick. I'm done with AMC's cocktease which this show has become...

Was the first episode even really that good? Aside from the death scenes and the tense machete part, I thought it was actually pretty eye rolling.

Well negan was very intetesting and his mind games were interesting.
So.... yeah the first one was good.
The suspense of who dies was good.

But this should have been shows between rick and negans group like season 3 .

Having hilltop, daryl and now tara storylines are just too much.

Plus carol's storyline... lol, my god. Like 5 plots right now lol

I want to like Negan. I really, really do. But I find him more annoying than interesting. The less that Negan is shown, the more effective he is. He's going to be one of those characters to me.

I said the same thing to my wife yesterday.. every episode they show a different plot group .. its to much going on with not much going on..

A fresh start would be for Daryl, Carol, Michonne, Jesus and Sasha out in the woods. Everyone else we know at this point either dies or is left in the communities. New places, a few new characters at most. Keep is moving, keep it a small group and make it scary. Forget all these communities and groups and them fighting each other. Just dreaming here but that's what I would like to see.

yeah' Tara and more Tara in an extended episode is almost too much to take.OK Alanna was gone for 9 episodes having a Child. The only reason for this introduction of the Island community I can see is Weapons. In the early scene when they realize they have an intruder you get a look through the open door when they are handing out weapons and they have a stockpile. Also the reveal that all their Men and Male Children were done in by the Saviors.Which has to ultimately come down to some sort of alliance in the final battle with the Saviors.Kinda feels like they are writing this stuff on the fly now.:lol

I'm glad we all agree that Tara's just too weak of a character to focus on for an entire hour. Evertthing she's been in recently feels so lazy, that Denise romance was more ham fisted than I thought possible and that's supposed to be some big thing for her character.

This whole season has been a bore. Besides the excitement of the death scene and a tiger, everything else has been unbearable. No shock that ratings are dropping. I don't have any urge to watch it as it airs anymore and most of my friends are in the same mindset.

Hopefully the guys making the editing decisions come up with a strong back half to this season. They really need to do what Game of Thrones does and have the episodes split up and give all the characters screen time per episode. The full episode per characters(s) worked in the past because fans were invested in the characters. Can't really say Tara is one of those characters - although she did an OK job leading it.
