The background extras are just awful in this.

Boring season boring finale.
I did ****ing love "nothing to lose" Rick, though. Carl's staring death right in the face and dad's not having any of it; he's just like "you gotta do what you gotta do, and what you gotta do is the last thing you're ever gonna do." I'm like, "there he is!" I don't mind Carl; he's grown quite a bit as a character, and he's, at least, tolerable, now, but ******* if I didn't like the prospect of Rick as a free man, and I loved Negan's reaction to it, too. Right before he kind of "gets into character" with the **** eating grin, you can almost see the absolute terror in his eyes, like "what the **** am I about to do?"
I just really want Jadis or whatever the hell her name is to get it, though. I was actually kind of hoping Shiva would mail her face off, so I wouldn't have to look at her weird, gonzo ass eyebrows, anymore. I liked the Sasha and Abraham stuff, and I knew where it was going from the moment I saw her in the dark, there. I was like "yep, she's about to go where no man has gone before." I dug the hopeful, optimistic tone they let it end on, though. Kind of refreshing after watching Rick eat **** for a whole season.
I actually hated that and it was very uncharacteristic of Rick. Anyone who has ever threatened Carl, Rick has gone psycho berserk on them and killed them. I couldn't believe Rick was going to let Carl get Lucilled and not do anything about it.
After swearing off the show after the season opener I was flipping channels last night and saw that there was only 20 minutes left of the season finale and thought what the hell and switched to it. I thought the final battle was silly. People with guns and grenades fighting people on horseback with battle-axes while a random tiger is attacking people? Reminded me of something you'd see in the Anchorman movies.
I still think Negan, again, stole the show, but not with that typical, used car salesman, dad joke bull**** where he tries to play charming and intimidating, oh no. That "******* tiger" and him flipping everybody the bird as he drove off killed me.
JDM is the only thing keeping this show alive. You kill him and you pretty much kill the show. Their biggest ratings since Season 4 came from Negan's intro and the head-bashing. Not sure how they'll keep the show alive if they off JDM.

I need to rewatch the scene. Did Rick even body reflex to defend his son in the moment Shiva came flying through the air?
And speaking of the tiger. Even with it's sudden appearance, how did Negan still not follow through despite the commotion? Would have made more sense if he was the one attacked.. (although, would probably mean dead Negan)
