It should be 2 more seasons, including the up coming 8, and then done. This is not a show that should be dragged out. It's already boring as it is. Just get it over with. Negan should have been done with this past season. Hopefully his arc will be over by the mid season finale.

I stopped reading the comic with the conclusion of the Negan arc. I thought it was such a ****** anti-climatic end that I just couldn't put anymore time into it.
Well they have not concluded it yet, so if you mean the conclusion of "All out War" then I agree.

But the arc they are on now has pulled me back to that character quite a bit......its very interesting seeing what they are doing with him post AOW.

it isnt even about the fans because who cares,
But imagine if Breaking Bad was still going.......

Or look at Dexter.... look at what happened to dexter and how it ended. it was atrocious. Do Walking Dead Fans really want an "Dexter" style ending? (style as in quality)

are walking dead fanboys really wanting this show to go 14 seasons and destroying any sense of quality?

These lawsuits are very hilarious because even the creator of the thing itself had enough of AMC's crap.

You nailed it. Asking for more is all well in good... until you get it. The show should of been a quick in and out. Maybe 5-6 seasons. Dexter was a complete cluster **** and should of ended 4-5 seasons earlier. Sopranos stuck around for 6 seasons but the show was in decline and I think HBO knew it. Breaking Bad is a good example of knowing when to cut it off, even though I found the last half of S5 not very good.

While I haven't watched the show for years (aside from commercials and Negan's first scene) there's been plenty of rumblings more and more on social media which mirror what I was saying about the show years and years ago. I think it would be wise for AMC to get a clear picture of an ending right about now... but given their greed, I doubt it. The bottom line is the bottom line and studios don't care about integrity over money.

AOW yes. I thought the end was a complete slap in the face.

I would say try picking up the Whispers war......its interesting to see him now. I think the end of AOW , was just a setup for his character now...

The ending can only be one of three things:

1. They all die.
2. Rick as a lone survivor.
3. They all live happily ever after.

Hey mate!
I think #1, but they won't make it obvious. The final scene will only suggest it and the viewer will get to debate it one way or the other.

Remember that Jim Henson Dinosaur kids show from the 90's? That ended with the off screen deaths of the dinosaurs during a nuclear Winter. Such a depressing closing shot of the family in their house.

I did not know that's how the show ended... now I am depressed lol.

I think Michael Rooker mentioned that if it were up to him he would like the show to end by flashing forward to an older grizzled Carl as the lone survivor. Perhaps show him as a brutal potentially crazy product of this world and have him narrating over the end of the show as if he has been retelling the story all along. If it were up to me they would show zombie Rick on a leash who Carl keeps for company less his arms and jaw. Carl can even be carrying Daryl's crossbow and Michonne's samurai sword so you know that all those that characters you liked ... well they died and they didn't even get to go out on screen in a blaze of glory. Get some depressing Madmax vibes thrown in because the world is pretty much a wasteland now.

I can't see the show having a happy ever after ending and I would be a bit disappointed if they go with a Dawn of the Dead ending implying that everyone gets killed in a final zombie swarm/horde/herd. Carl surviving but essentially losing his humanity and becoming another monster like the walkers... well yeh that's a level of depressing that I can get on board with haha.

I see the opposite .

Rick finally dying to get a simple civilization set up, feudal in nature......

The zombies disappearing over time due to rot finally winning.

I think xipotec got the idea, as the millions of zombies should just get rotten and end to excist in some point, and when there are only left those after few survivors are gone, the people left have their chance to build the better world. ;) But I believe the show makers will go for something more and more shocking by time... And it seems they follow the comic more closely now, so it gives some hint what very likely will be coming.

I know the feeling that you are talking here, as the good series gets something that repeats itself and isn´t really interesting anymore but you just keep watching because like the people in it. I think I will watch at least until Daryl and Carol are gone. I wonder if it will keep my interest if they aren´t in anymore.

My favourite ending would be the happy ending. That the people left would just realise it´s best for them all to become friends and do something to build a nice new world where everyone could live happily ever after. I somehow figure it will never end this way. ;)

Exactly. I would like to see a fast forward 200 hundred years to see the feudal society that sprang up after Rick with his descendants being the Kings.

I want them to hear that someplace in Arizona has a cure so they actually go across the country (and see other environments) then they get to the grand canyon and its just full of walkers / dead bodies.…. hundreds of thousands if not millions of them…. then the screen goes black and it ends.

Any Canadians purchase The Walking Dead Season 7? If so can you confirm if it included the HD Digital copy! I think we got ripped off again (like season 6) where HD copy was available in US and not Canada

To add to this, someone kicks a rock down into the canyon and then we see all of the zombies look up at the group, then fade to black.

Well, no one is really having babies.

A realistic ending would be like a mad max style america with very few survivors.
After a while all the negans of the world would eventually kill everybody.

I like the idea of grown carl with michonnes sword and daryl bow walking around in a desolated country.

At some point human numbers will be extremely low thanks to guys like the Gov and negan

Do we need a realistic end to a show about re animated corpses though? Or something different ?

I doubt they have yet to give a serious thought to an end to this gravey train

if no one is having babies and the world is full of walkers.... it isn't hard to assume the world will be extremely low on survivors.
