First episode was good. This one mostly a waste of time...mostly. Filler on episode 2 is kinda disapointing.

What the **** is going on? I'm not following these episodes and I feel dumber at the end.

I'm not entirely sure myself, i'm so done with the writing choices on this show - especially Gimple's take. A whole lot of wasted ammo, questionable decisions and we still have characters doing what Jesus did with Mr. Pee pee pants. Stuff just doesn't add up.

"I don’t understand what’s happening with The Walking Dead. I don’t understand how it’s come to this, how it’s fallen so far.

An episode like ‘The Damned’ ought to have been exciting, tense and surprising, with lots of action and the return of a character we haven’t seen in years.

Instead, it was confusing, with very little tension and lots of oddly forced moments. This is how TV shows die, not with a bang but with a whimper. What we’re watching isn’t high-stakes drama, it’s a slow-motion train wreck.
all of this is muddied pretty badly by just how confusing this entire episode was. I’m confused by the time-line of all these subplots and how they line up both the events of last week and one another. I’m also at a loss when it comes to the geography of all these stories. Nor do we have a clear sense of the plan and when/where it’s being carried out, let alone just how many Saviors our team is up against. It’s a jumbled mess.

Jesus is an absolute ******!! Seriously you let one guy surrender and he turns on you, then you let a bunch more, including one that Morgan knows is a complete psychopath? Already sick of Jesus' obsession with Maggie like she's some great leader that he's known for so long....he's barely known her at all.

Ezekiel is so cheesy, it's just gotten ridiculous. I wish Carol would go back with her Alexandrians, I'm not really liking this new separation with the old crew...Maggie with Hilltop and Carol with The Kingdom. It's just not TWD I loved.

Who is Morales again? Atlanta was so long ago I can't remember that far back.

I agree with you on Ezekial, he's just not realistic at all. Instead of moving with urgency to track down the escaped saviour he's taking his time, sharing his thoughts, gloating & trying to impress Carol.

Morales was the one who left after the attack at the quarry with his family to be with their extended family in Alabama i believe. Rick & Shane gave him a gun right before they left for the CDC.

Another impractical writing choice - Daryl of course is walking into what will surely be a firefight with a single fire weapon instead of a machine gun. Yea the crossbow is cool but come on!

The world is **** so Ezekial having fun with it is all right by me. Plus he has a tiger. Ezekial > Negan > Rick

Yeah agree about Daryl. I get it when it's just walkers and he can reload the bow in time, but up against other humans with machine guns??

A few things i found funny or impractical about last nights episode. Keep in mind i had fun with the episode and i enjoyed seeing the return of a S1 character at the end.

- when Katniss, i mean the kingdom archer got 2 headshots in on the savour guards in a split second.

- the good guys are incredibly good at headshots no matter how far their target is from them - lol.

- Ezekial more worried about speeches than the job at hand

- Jesus and his don't kill Mr. Pee pee pants, everybody knew the guy would turn on him and tara.

- how much ammo Aaron's group was wasting

- Aaron's group plan was not to wipe out the outpost they attacked but to box them in, kill a few and wait for them to turn so as a saviour walker they can kill their own people? Re-animation time varies so that was an uncertainty.

- Daryl going into battle with his single fire crossbow instead of a machine gun - knife to a gun fight.

- Sheeva again knowing who is bad and who to attack - ok!

- why was there a baby at the outpost Rick attacked?

There are other things i'm forgetting but this is me just pointing out how impractical/silly the writing is. Yes, i realize this is a zombie show and i'm nitpicking the reality of the writing :).

Nice episode. Aaron's group came out blazing. If Rick would have done that last week this war would be over. I still don't know why Rick let Negan give a speech last week instead of just opening up on him.

What a Joke :lol

Jesus.. DUDE.. you come in.. killing all of those guys and then there is one of them and you wont kill him EVEN after he tried to kill you :lol Who the **** is writing this **** ?? Im so mad about waisting my time but I have invested so many years watching this show ...

Just finish this show off before its getting just stupid... (its almost there anyways)

They are building the "kill or It to kill" motif.

Overall , the editing is horrendous and it's killing any sort of sensical narrative.

Plus, once again, we are seeing a CRAP ton of filler. Way too many shots of guns shooting off (which is Gimples idea of action).

I get where they are going knowing the comics but they really need to move the story faster in a linear fashion....

There are a lot of good things coming, but trying to make every episode art and suspenseful is killing this series.

So my wife and I watched this episode last night and I did not have a clue what was going on

Questions:

What building is Rick and Daryl in? Where are they? (FYI to Daryl – grab a gun and move your hair away from your eye)
Aaron & Company – Where are they?
King E & Carol – Who are they following? Who’s blood is that their tracking. I watched last week I remember the explosion but I do not recall from who!
I know where Jesus and Tara are – But man was that a horrible scene. It went on for ever and ever. Curious what the purpose of that lengthy scene was

I guess (to date) we the viewers do not know what the game plan of Rick & Co is. We are watching but have no idea of the game plan. I hope it pays off. Its hard to be involved in the season when your so far removed.

Also did Tobin die? I had to go back on my recording a few time to see if it was him. Even then it was not clear (so fast). If he was killed (I know he was shot), pretty sad way for AMC to take out a three season background character.

FYI – I know who Morales was (at the end). I always wondered if Morales and family would return to TWD.

I agree with most of the comments on here. Kinda watching just to see where it all ends up.

Lame cliffhanger again as we all know Rick ain't gona die. Even though he keeps on making mistakes. Yes he realised what he was becoming and doing when he saw the baby but come on man! And that Jesus/Tara/Morgan plot... really? Tara should just shoot him and be done with it so should Morgan. Poor writing there. Like others I have no clue what is going on with everyone. I told my wife they will not show how Gabriel ends up till a few episodes later as usual. They might not even show how Rick ends up in the next episode with how things are going. TWD needs better editors and writers... sigh.
