Daryl destroying one zombie with brute force then yanking that arrow out of his side and blasting zombie #2...
...is about the most badass thing I've ever seen on television. I was actually LOLing at the end of that sequence and had to explain to my wife how awesome he is.
Pretty damn obvious?" If you say so. You just see what you want to see. Both Rick and Shane were coming back and Glenn's comment could have applied to either guy equally. You've got a 50/50 shot at being right, but I think they are purposely leaving it vague right now for the viewers.
What a great episode tonight! I didn't read Kirkman's comic before the series started, and I am glad that I didn't. I'm hanging on the edge of my seat here. Every week! I like not knowing what's coming next. I'd like to do a spoiler cover thing here, but I don't know how.
Luck had nothing to do with it. Daryl Dixon is God and it's obvious that zombie wasn't trying eat Daryl's feet, but kiss them in the vain hope that some of his divine powers would rub off on him.
Daryl was starting to crack when he strung the zombie ears and maybe he started to believe it when the Merle hallucination was saying the others didn't care a bit about him. I get it that the hallucination is what helped him survive the fall & arrow.
...when Carol brought food to Daryl and told him that he did more for Sophia than her father ever did and that he was just as good as Rick or Shane. I loved it!

I don't know how much in danger of that he was. Doubts confronted him, for sure, but it seems like he's got a solid self-esteem, and a pretty firm commitment to the group. If the same doubts rise to the surface again, he'll have what she said to knock them back down.
Either way, he deserved to hear that, and I'm glad someone said it.
Maybe I'm being a little harsh, but Andrea's been a pissy character since the start of the season. She has reason to be, it's just that most of the group is using its anger and sorrow as a source of strength. She, on the other hand... well, let's put it this way: if Andrea was that desperate to shoot something all season, maybe she should've put that pistol to her head and shot that.
Plus she would've gotten what she wanted and spared Dale the guilt trip, however semi-justfied it seemed at the time.
I will say this: things are getting interesting. The substories are evolving and the characters are beginning to mentally fall apart, which is cool since you learn so much more about them at times like this.

Youre just mad because the only guns youve got shoot plastic BBs. Get a real piece like real men do and stop rolling around in the grass with other over the hill military wannabes pretending to be special forces.
I'm surprised people are debating whether others in the camp know (or more importantly, just think) that Lori and Shane were sleeping together. We've seen enough in past episodes to know they are - and they're relationship would be too close and personal for the group not to assume it. No one else even knew Rick, and none of them assumed he'd be coming back. Shane and Lori were together - and while they were trying to hide the sex from Carl, there was no way the other adult group members didn't know what was going on. In fact, last season when the old guy interrupts Shane when Shane is pointing the gun at Rick, he even makes a comment as to knowning what he's thinking/doing. I think they gave us enough evidence last year when Rick first showed up that it's pretty obvious the rest of the group knew, but last night -
when they hugged after the destruction of Atlanta, we saw the start of their physical relationship. No way that the basic PDA's got less over time, and the other adults in their party would have assumed Shane and Lori were sleeping together. Wouldn't you?
So yea, I'm pretty sure everyone knows what Lori's announcement is going to mean to the group.

I just don't see how you and Nam can be 100% convinced that everyone knows about Shane and Lori's relationship. There is no evidence to support your statement, just speculation. The "PDA" you reference was not witnessed by anyone in the current group and it occurred during a horrific event. If everyone knows about their relationship, then why hide it and keep sneaking off? To keep it from Carl? Then why not go to Carol and ask her to watch him for the 5-10 minutes so they can go get the freak on since everyone already knows about it anyway. Doesn't this also make Shane and Lori really stupid because here they are sneaking off and thinking they are fooling everyone, but everyone really does?
Also, why didn't anyone tell Rick yet? It is clear that he is their leader and they look up and respect him. Do you think they are all lying and keeping this from him deliberately? It is possible, but then Rick is going to feel like a complete fool and be really pissed at all these people who he has been protecting and they repay that by lying to him all along. I just don't see that happening.
I still think they are keeping the baby's father ID vague on purpose, so that there is an element of surprise when the reveal happens. Why would Glenn say, "You haven't told him?" He could have easily said Shane or Rick since both were out of earshot. I also think the baby will be Shane's because that adds so much drama to Rick, Lori and Shane's storylines - but I think everyone else is going to be surprised when the father of the baby is revealed. I think Jenner whispered in Rick's ear that Lori was pregnant and Rick probably did some quick math and suspects that he can't be the father, so I think when Lori fesses up to Rick, he will already "know" that Shane is the father.
I also think we are spending way too much time analyzing this.
Shifting gears a little...
Anyone else think they might be setting up the Carl shoots Shane storyline with the flashback where Sophia tells Carl she thinks his dad is nice and Carl says he isn't my dad?
Let me just say this - if the writer's are creating a group of adults that would be surprised by the fact that Shane and Lori were having sex, I'd say that was bad writing. It's wildly unrealistic.
Why would Lori and Shane be keeping it from the rest of the group? Not because of the group, but because of Carl - and themselves. No one in the group would judge them, since none of them even know Rick and all assume he's dead. But they'd feel the guilt nonetheless, and if others knew, the guilt would be worse. So they hide it.
But in the real world, adults aren't that stupid. In fact, it usually goes the other way, with most people assuming even good friends of the opposite sex are sleeping together - or could, if the circumstances were right.
Last night, they showed us a brief moment of them together before Rick was back. And what did Sophie, a child, call Shane? Carl's dad - what do you think the adults would be assuming?
