Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I think the way things are portrayed in the comic is much more realistic and gut wrenching though. Start to care about a character then BAM, dead. Will agree though that comic Rick is a blend of TV show Rick and Shane. People who judge TV show Shane for what he has done and praise Rick aren't familiar with comic book Rick.
Realistic yes cause in a real zombie apocalypse, dead is pretty much around every corner but after killing half the group in one event, I stop caring anymore.

I stop having attachment to any characters cause most of the time now, they die before they get any real development. I don't even care about Rick anymore cause he is totally off the rails (I hope the phone don't make it into the TV cause it just wouldn't work)

The current arc is also kinda weak. Starts off promisingly but kinda falters down.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

After how Rick treated him I wouldn't blame him. From his POV, Rick's group were the hostile ones.

I thought he overreacted. Given the situation, it was a reasonable precaution to lock him up until they knew what was happening.

Look at it this way. No one dies until Rick's group started showing up at the prison. It could have easily been someone from Rick's group from the inmates POV.
Point is, Rick has been slowly cracking cracking since getting there. Remember the "you kill you die" policy"? He was the first one to broke it.

I had considered that (because the guy mentioned it himself) but why would they wait to do that until they got there? Why not before?

He hadn't thought that one through very well though. To begin with, he already had a perfect exception available for him to consider.

Carl killing Shane was a good thing. The right thing. Rick would have been dead if Carl hadn't pulled the trigger.

Cold blooded murder and killing in self-defense may be separated by a fine line, but they are worlds apart morally

Fundamental flaw with that. Carl's life wasn't in danger, though.
:huh

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

His father's was. Same principle as a cop defending a citizen.

Except that one of them is deputized to do so, and one of them isn't. At best, it was manslaughter. Funny how you're defending Rick and Carl for doing essentially the same thing Shane did to Otis. :monkey1 :lol

"How’s your vision today? Good? Good, ’cause you’re gonna wanna be 20/20 or better for today’s Blind Item. It concerns one of the stars of AMC’s The Walking Dead and their desire to… well, walk.

The backstage drama all started when series creator Frank Darabont was ousted. A whole lotta people were upset, you’ll recall, and this one person, so much so that he/she asked to be released from his/her contract. But, according to my moles, a funny thing happened between the time the request was made and when it was potentially granted.

A change of heart.

Now this member of the ensemble wants to stay. But it may be too late. (Even my sources don’t know for sure at this point whether the character is going to be written off, although one insider insists he/she ultimately got their wish.)"

Rumor is Jeffrey DeMunn aka Dale ( veteran of Shawshank, Green Mile, Mist, Majestic) is the actor getting written out.

Hmmm...

Self defense of another is just as acceptable as defense of one's self. You dont have to be ddeputized to legally kill someone trying to harm another. Particularly a family member. It's not a crime at all.

:yess: Especially the last part. I hope this is true so my wish can come true and I want the ending to be gory and as painful as possible.
