Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I just have one thing to say.

Daryl needs a better looking lady friend.

Ahh.. she is just his stalker. ;)

Im with you on that. Gross.

they need to get it on.... :naughty :hi5:

My age may be showing but I think she is pretty. I think with long hair she would look beautiful.
I think so too, I think is the hair that makes her look weird
they just need to get it on...:naughty :hi5:

Oh I think you're completely off base here. I think younger people are more about peace and love and can I say bleeding hearts. Older people see the world as it is, it's a dog eat dog world, you have to take care of yourself. I am 43 and can see myself more like Shane than Rick.

I agree, I am young and totally side with Rick, I understand that Shane was not always bad, I don't think he was bad when he saw Rick in the hospital, and I don't think he left him there with the intention of getting into Lori's pants and lying to her about it,
but I side with Rick

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I think Rick showed flawed judgment with the kid. He endangered himself and the rest of the group (Herschel and Glen) by having to save a strangers life. He has a mentality that its living vs dead and thats gonna get him and everybody else he's responsible for killed.

I think his mentality just changed with that standoff. The living are more dangerous. At least the dead are predictable.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

You know what would be an amazingly emotional scene/moment of the show.

The writers should continue to develop Maggie and Glenn's love through to the end of season 2, and continue it into season 3...and at the end of season 3 something happens where one of them get's killed in front of the others eyes. In their last moment together they say their last goodbyes and love for one another as one passes away.

I think this would be the most emotional death of the show. Because most of the other characters that are in love or had a daughter, etc. That was already established since we first met them...whereas with Glenn and Maggie we saw the beginning of their relationship. And to see it to the end...gives us a sense of being part of it. And then to see something happen to one of them would be TV gold.

I hope it doesn't happen, but it would be emotional and a big moment on the show. As showrunner Glen Mazzara said, they only kill someone if there is story for it afterwards. And in this case there would be, whether it's Maggie or Glenn that gets killed, the one who doesn't would be changed for the rest of their time on the series.

nice idea, but to be honest i hope that never comes to pass. i like glenn and i like maggie and i like them as a couple. sentimentality may have little place in a world like this and certainly not in the horror genre. but it'd be nice to have them represent hope. that there is still place for love and caring in a world as horrific as this. i don't see much of it left with rick and lori, esp with the way things are developing. there are agendas and ulterior motives at play in their relationship, regardless of whether it's out of self-preservation. with glenn and maggie, it just strikes me as a pure, and (relatively) simple love.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Sentiment has no place but basic biology and physiology does. By all rights we should have Glenn and Maggie for quite some time. THey're both young and strong individuals. Maggie's kinda a loud mouth but Glenn seems like he should be voted mostly likely to survive a zombie apocalypes, unless Maggie's mouth gets him killed.

@Allison Amy
I hope so because they were really close to being dead food there. And for what? Rick should have popped the kid and walked away.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I'm a little torn as to which group I would be in. Shane is an ahole and could snap at any second but I agree with a lot of his actions (like the barn) and Rick with his slightly too good of intentions head that might get me killed for no good reason but I think he has overall better leadership.

Like a lot of people, I cringed when Rick yelled out to the other people when they were in the bar. I don't think he will make that kind of mistake again. Can't wait for next week!

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I can't blame Rick for trying to save the kid. It certainly wasn't the smart thing to do, and he would've been justified imo considering Randal was trying to shoot them, but looking in someone's eyes that's in that vulnerable a position and deciding whether they live or die would be a difficult thing. Killing someone that's looking you in the face from 3 feet away and drawing a gun on you is one thing, putting a bullet in the head of a helpless kid screaming for his life is quite another. Like I said, it's not the prudent move, but I understand why he did it.

The bullet would of been merciful compared to being eaten by zombies. Didn't you see and hear the guy who's face was been torn off? Bullet for me please

Hershel almost seemed to enjoy that. He could have shot that guy imo given his aim, but it was like he was proud he didn't and used him as a distraction instead to slow those zombies down while they fed on him. That had to be one of the more brutal deaths so far.

I agree with what someone else said, Rick has been coming to terms with the idea that the people in the group and the other people out there are more dangerous then the zombies, I think he was really optimistic about humanity pulling togeather in all this and that ideas slowly died and is now souring and he's starting to become more predatory in actively defending his family.

Yes, it would have, if Rick had felt he couldn't save him, but he thought he could, and he turned out to be right.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

If he were wrong tho all four would be dead. Thats a mighty big gamble for someone who a minute ago was trying to kill you.

Exactly, I kept yelling at the TV,'Shoot him again, what the hell.' But you're right, it was a great distraction as those zombies like their meat fresh.

As I said, not a smart move, but it's easy to judge Rick for trying to help that kid when you're removed from the situation. Anyone who was really in that situation, hearing that young kid screaming for his life, I bet they would have a harder time making that call than they might think.

It's like the folks that were pissed at Shane for sacrficing Otis. When you're removed from the situation, it's easy to say Shane was an a-hole and you'd would never do something like that, but if you were really in that situation, someone you love is dying and needs the equipment you have, the zombies are on your ass, the adrenaline's pumping, a lot of those people would be surprised how willing they'd be to cap Otis in the leg and haul ass.

Reminds me of the two hiker who run into a bear. One bends down to tie his shoes and the other tells him, 'You can't outrun a bear.' Says, 'Don't have to, just need to outrun you'.
