Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Yeah, I don't think she wants anything from him.

But ____...she should just deck the guy. I'd love her if she did that.

That behind the back crap is just weird.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

:dunno

She's told him repeatedly to ____ off. She clawed his face when he forced himself on her at the CDC. I suppose a knuckle sandwich would help move things along. I'd be down for it.

Then she should take out a gun, and shoot something.

And she did. Now she needs to shoot Shane. or something. She needs to fight back. If she stopped complaining about things, and just did them, she'd be a better character.

I don't have any recollection of her complaining. She thought she was pregnant, she determined whether she was, she decided to try to get rid of it, all before she told anyone else about it (not counting Glenn and Dale). When she opened up about it, she only explained her reasoning. She never looked for pity.

I think you're biased, but I'll be damned if I know how or why.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I just don't like how the women in this show are. It makes me angry that I don't like any of them. :lol

They're too grounded to be interesting for me. Andrea having super human shooting power WAS interesting, and I wanted to see more of that.

Lori is just a boring character. So whatever she does, amplifies to 1000 for me. :lol Aside from her in the car wreak, she just hasn't been that interesting.

Carol's boring too. I would've loved to see her risk her neck to find Sophia in the woods. I really want to see these characters be some what strong, at least until a point. Like Glenn. He can hold his own around Walkers, but when it comes to guns shot at you, he freezes up.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

And, I don't come to this show for realism man. I want characters who stand out. Even in little, subtle ways.

I don't like Lori, or any of the women because they're boring to me. I like them tough ladies. Not Milla Resident Evil tough, but Ellen Ripley tough.

All i'm gonna say on that subject for tonight. I gots to sleep. :D

I honestly believe the way the characters are portrayed is very true to life. I argue this point on another board all the time. Too many in our society are used to someone else taking care of them or providing for them that if a national emergency would occurr they will be screwed.

I may agree about Carol though and her daughter. Most parents are very protective of their children. The way she acts though could be because she was an abused spouse. Her husband probably had her so beat down that she wouldn't do anything without her husbands approval.

As far as freezing up. Once watched a video on liveleak I think of a policeman pulling someone over. Guy was out of his vehicle and calmly reached in his vehicle and pulled a gun out. This whole time the officer was screaming at the guy not to move, to stop. Bad guy starts shooting at officer who freezes. BG calmly walks toward cop car while officer is screaming off camera and shoots and kills the officer. The officers screams are heart wrenching. I figure if a trained officer could freeze up in that situation someone like Glenn could also.

Well, another crappy work week almost done. Tme to look forward to Sunday night.:yess: And then as soon as TWD is over (which is always way too soon) it's time to start another crappy week at work. What a vicious cycle. :lol Either way, this weeks episode looks great.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Awesome that the character is in Season 3, but I don't think I have ever seen this actor's work.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Hmmm... Now I'm really interested in how...
AMC is going to handle the Governor. He rapes michonne and beats her to within a fraction of life and cuts off rick's hand. Is AMC gonna drop that ball or be butch enough to take the show to this very dark place?

How is that casting news a spoiler when AMC posts the news point blank in your face on their official Facebook page?

I wouldn't want Rick to lose a hand. That would piss me off!

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Meh, ive always hated the Governor. The entire idea of forcing people to fight to the death for entertainment seems too "Mad Max" for me. Way too out there for a show that is fairly grounded in reality.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Didn't feel out of place in the comic. :dunno

The world has gone to hell. Things like that keep the story interesting.

I didn't put it as a spoiler, simply linked to the article that also posted the news point blank in your face.

The only spoiler tags above your post concern character spoilers from the comic. :dunno
