Can't wait for the farm to get hit. I wonder what direction season 3 will go?

They better keep Shane's death the same as the novels and not have it turn into some heroic sacrifice of repentance to save someone in the group.

I agree, but I am curious why you feel that way?

To cut down on the budget, AMC has announced they will just reuse footage shot in a filipino prison.

They've deviated enough that I would like them to at least keep some of the big hitters true to the novels. I also think it has the potential to be a great scene when looking back on Shane giving Carl the gun earlier in the season.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I'm really against this notion that Shane has to go... it's like wanting Darth Vader killed in a New Hope or Joker dead...

A hero is only as strong as his foil. I think Shane is a great character. Sure he's flawed and maybe a little delusional but he presents valid arguments and is a man of action.

Robert McKee, the great screenwriting guru, has said thet the most captivating characters are born from action. That's what I love about Shane... he acts. Im really hating this idea that he has to go. Berthnal has also been a great cast member.

I think people should stop looking at the tv show as having to conform to the graphic novels. Instead i wish people would just see this a chance for Kirkman to tell a newer and more interesting story that builds on the first and improves it. a 2.0 if you will.

Besides it'll be all that more surprising when the turns and twists happen if NOBODY knows them.
