Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I guess I didn't catch the expression, but that's still just conjecture on your part. We can think he's bad, we can suppose, we can read into a gesture or an expression but that doesn't prove he's bad. That's the only point I'm trying to make here, not that Randal should be spared, but that simply thinking he might possibly be a bad guy doesn't make it so.

Next episode will show why Shane was right. :wink1:

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Irony.

Rick doesn't kill Randall because of Carl, yet Carl gets Dale killed by NOT killing that walker and now Rick will possibly get someone killed by NOT killing Randall.

In the words of Jack Sparrow, "Funny ol' world, innit?"

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I liked Dale alot, I don't get all the hate for him/people glad he died. He was a great character and good actor. Definately the first character loss I care about, Sofia was just w/e, and Amy was sad only because she was hot.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I'm still pissed at him a bit over Sophia.

It's been a while since I've seen that first episode, but I can't imagine what made him thinking leaving a little girl alone in unfamiliar, heavily wooded territory was a sound plan.

I agree, this episode enforced my like of Dale. Him trying to hang onto their humanity and his earlier see-through of Shane made me like him. Great acting during his death scene. You could really see pain and fear in the actor's eyes.

Absolutely. Brilliant performance by the actor portraying Dale in that final scene. Even if you hated the character, you had to have been at least somewhat moved by that.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I always liked Dale. He made a very stupid decision running off with the guns a few eps back but he did it out of desperation. I'm sad to see him gone.

I wonder if Randall makes it back to his group and they force Rick and co off Hershel's farms in the last ep of the season?

That doesn't need to be in spoilers bud. But yeah. He should've made her stay put. It's funny how the group keeps ignoring that and some of the fanboys here as well. :lol

The problem was, quite directly, the world around him changed with zero hope of going back to the way it was. Dale was refusing to admit that, let alone accept it.

Indeed. She would have been much safer with him. At least he was armed and could have protected her but instead he sends a frightened and panicked child out in zombie infested woods alone. I still like Rick though.

I disagree, he straight up layed out that things had changed, he knows better, but if there was ever hope of things going back to anything remotely normal, even it takes hundreds of years, how does unraveling and becoming so animalistic help any of that. The only thing such behavior could lead to is exactly what that kid Randall layed out, rape, no remorse. It doesn't matter how hopeless it looks or feels, it only becomes hopeless when you give up.

We saw it play out in Carl, the next generation if there is such a thing, becoming cold, a child wanting to watch someone murdered by his father.

Oh, :lol.
They all seem to ignore the fact that Rick just left her there. There were only two slow moving Walkers after them. Pretty sure he could have taken her with him and done something. I mean, he brained one of them with a rock. She couldn't have hid behind another tree? Made for a good mid-season finale though.

I agree, the world is a different place. I honestly didn't agree with Shane killing Otis when it happened, but now after a few episodes, it had to be done and I understand why he did it, and Rick does too. I respect Dale for trying to hold onto some sort of humanity but him not being able to accept the difference is
why he is dead now.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

He's dead because Carls a spoiled little brat. :lol

Seriously though, his death had nothing to do with what or how he felt, he got unlucky plain and simple.

I like Rick too. He's a great character but I am still pissed at him over that.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC
