Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

My wife always loses her mind at Carl's lack of supervision....not to mention he's always hanging out with Shane who Lori thinks is crazy and dangerous....WTF!?!? :rotfl

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Another interesting point, per Greg Nicotero: Daryl was sharpening his knife in front of the hanging Randall (in the barn) with the intent of killing him. Dale's screaming interrupted that from happening.

That's right. Would have loved to have seen that!

Discussed on the streamed aftershow:

I guess I joined a little late and missed that part. That's interesting. Now to see if that was done to make him look shifty in an ambiguous situation, or if he's really a bad dude. I don't think anyone would be shocked if he did turn out to be a Norman Bates.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Wasn't expecting that. Dale was the last of the normal world trying to cope with the new world.

Daryl is the man.

And going by how Randall was talking to Carl, I would say kill him. Kill him with fire.

Per Greg, Daryl's intent was as Rick's enforcer. Do the job Rick failed to do. We see this at the end when he takes the Python from Rick and shoots Dale. It's nothing to do with him being a "psycho" and everything to do with him being the realist.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Just another reason why Daryl is my favorite character. He does what no one else has the guts to do. Terrible situation, but he still came through.

He relieved Rick of the responsibility; it's not like he didn't have the guts for it.

Dale was wrong. No one is innocent anymore.

Better start killing everyone then.

Wouldn't be the first time Rick got someone killed. :huh

He didn't get Sophia killed.

That doesn't need to be in spoilers bud. But yeah. He should've made her stay put. It's funny how the group keeps ignoring that and some of the fanboys here as well. :lol

If she stayed put and he didn't come back, what was she supposed to do? It was a sound plan until it turned out she was too scared to listen.

The problem was, quite directly, the world around him changed with zero hope of going back to the way it was. Dale was refusing to admit that, let alone accept it.[/SPOILER]

The answer to Dale's contention was to show him that Randall had already proven he couldn't be trusted. Shooting on Rick, Glenn and Hershel was insufficient. The rape story showed what kind of men he was with, but was inconclusive regarding his own character. Lots of room for supposition, not a lot for certainty. The only thing that exposed his character was the way he talked to Carl, but no one knows about that because he's afraid of getting in trouble.

A foxhole mentality is a dumb approach to their situation. Deckard and TheObsoleteMan are right.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

And R.I.P. Dale.

That sucked. Only person left who didn't let their fear make their decisions for them.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

He didn't get Sophia killed.

You're delusional. He should've told her to stay put. Expecting her to navigate her way back in an unfamiliar environment is what lead to her death. He told her to go back and she did as instructed. Wound up chow for Walkers.

If she stayed put and he didn't come back, what was she supposed to do? It was a sound plan until it turned out she was too scared to listen.

She'd still be alive. Point is, she followed Rick's instructions and died as a result.

It's already been revealed per the Executive Producer what Randall's intentions were. So your point here is not only wrong, but moot. :lol

And you're zombie bait. :dunno

It's all about a risk to the group's security. You taking their side on the argument proves this. Nicotero already revealed the intentions. Shane was right all along, and Dale's little guilt trip has cost the group dearly as we'll see in the last two episodes. :moon

I was referring to you mentioning that Randal's scenes were shot with the intent that he was in on the rapes. It comes off as ambiguous in the episode. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he can switch between unassuming and psychopathic ala Norman Bates

Oh, gotcha. I thought you were referring to Daryl. Yeah, the dude's bad news. And unfortunately REALLY bad news for the group.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

And you're halfway to zombie. :dunno

Rick told her to stay put unless he didn't come back. I'm delusional and you're re-writing the show.

Shane is guessing. He's scared and he will tread a mile of corpses to ease his fears. He doesn't know any more than anyone else in the group because he, as well as they, didn't watch Nicotero on Talking Dead.

Point is, every single decision Shane has made has been right on the money. :dunno

Actually Nam, I'm 99% sure he told Sophia to stay put and not wonder off and that he would be back for her. I remember thinking what a tard she was for not listening to Rick. :slap

Wrong. He told her to go back, following the river and keeping the sun over her right shoulder, etc. Try again. :lol
