Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Anyone else think Daryl's brother Merle will be part of the group of 30?

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I do. I think it will play a major role with Daryl trying to decide on what side to choose.

That could get very interesting if it does happen. I don't know anything about the comic but maybe Merle will turn out to be with this Governor dude?

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

No that was speculated, but they already cast that part.

I read he was cast but isn't the Governor the leader of some large group? I'm saying maybe Merle will have found this group and be with them.

I really feel that Merle will be the one to cut off Rick's hand. A little literary justice

What do you mean the one? Was his hand cut off in the comic? NEVERMIND! I don't want to know.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

That had never occurred to me, but it's a very intriguing thought. He's got to pop back up at some point.

I thought he would have popped up by now. I think it'd be pretty cool if it turns out Daryl had to make a choice or get in the middle of Merle and Rick. Maybe Daryl's current decision of separation is preparing his character for that choice?

I wouldn't worry too much... things have drastically changed from the comic.

That's good, I'd like to read the comics at some point. I have Compendium One sitting here.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I disagree, he straight up layed out that things had changed, he knows better, but if there was ever hope of things going back to anything remotely normal, even it takes hundreds of years, how does unraveling and becoming so animalistic help any of that. The only thing such behavior could lead to is exactly what that kid Randall layed out, rape, no remorse. It doesn't matter how hopeless it looks or feels, it only becomes hopeless when you give up.

We saw it play out in Carl, the next generation if there is such a thing, becoming cold, a child wanting to watch someone murdered by his father.

When did protecting your own become uncivilized and animalistic? That's been a basic instinct of humans since we evolved from fish.

True, but then look at Carl. He's becoming so desensitized to the killing that he's borderline sosciopathic at this point. He's the future when there's no more Dales in the world. Perhaps that's what's needed to survive in that world, but that seems as bad or worse than the walkers.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Still can't stand Lori or Carl.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I can't really fault Carl, he's a little kid growing up in a world of death and vanishing morality. Add to that the fact that nobody seems to be watching him, and how else would you expect a kid to act in that environment?

The question is where the ____ was Lori? She's spending too much time trying to be queen bee that she's not even dealing with her responsibility with her child. I damn near lost my mind when he wandered off and was ____ing around with the zombie. Where the ____ was Lori?!

Also guys...
Interesting topics on Talking Dead. Greg shot the episode with the intent that Randall had participated in the rape of the campers. The question also came up that Randall was actually leading his group to Hershall's farm. Nobody answered.

Yeah, Lori and Rick came so close to losing Carl, and then once he rcovered, they ignore him and let him run wild.

As for the stuff about Randal, I watched Talking Dead and totally missed that.
