Yea, that's why I was thinking that perhaps they go that route - fight breaks out, zombies show up and start havok with the attackers, giving our favorite folks a chance to run. Obviously the occasional gun shot here or there isn't going to draw a herd, but a fire fight seems likely to attract them.

Kinda hard for them to attack if you're locked up inside the house.

And it also works well from another perspective - the outsiders show up and there's a dozen walkers wandering around the farm, it might imply to them that there's no one left, and it's not the safe haven they thought.

It might work ... if there's a way to remotely release them from a safe place; and assuming that they're stored away in such a way that intruders would be unsuspecting of their presence; it would be funny to watch an attacking human army get flanked by a zombie horde.



But then again, it's like that Starcraft scenario; it would be like nuking the invading army inside your base. You kill yourself and the invaders.

Hey, it was just a thought - let's face it, 30 well armed people ride up on that house and there's no way our group survives. If they were going to stay holed up at the farm, they'd have to start thinking about some alternative ways to protect it, better than a few guns and a patrol. Of course, we know they aren't going to stayed holed up at the farm

If they can figure out a way to use the zombies to their advantage:

then they might have a better chance of surviving against the living. As dangerous as the zombies are, they can't think or pull a trigger.

I like the idea. Good alternative; cheaper than ammo.

It would also be dangerous to set up, but if you got good at zombie wrangling, you could use them as a perimeter alarm as well. Chain them up tight around a fairly distant perimeter of the farm, and when survivors showed up, they'd most likely shoot them on sight.

Hey, Otis got pretty good at zombie wrangling - seems doable but dangerous.
