Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I can't say that Lori dying would bother me in the least bit at this point, but then, that's sort of the point of the character. She's not really supposed to be 'likable', but did have a very important role with Shane and Rick. I gotta say though, that with Shane dead and her pregnant, I'm all the more positive they'll kill her off next season. If this were 'reality', having babies would be job number 2, right after surviving til tomorrow. It isn't though, and writing a baby into the show would just add more expense and trouble, and AMC was already moaning about cost last year. Add in the loss of Shane so there's no longer any love triangle, and Lori's value drops in a big way.

The whole pregnant thing does mean they can do some interesting stuff up to killing her off though - if she dies at 4 months but they keep feeding her, can the baby survive to be born alive? Yea, I know they wouldn't go there, but there's other interesting potential with the pregnant story line that I think will allow Lori to live til next year...but I do think her days are numbered.

I also hope that if T-dog survives they beef up his character next season, he could and should be a great member of the crew.

The most he ever had to do was probably in his first episode where he clashes with Merle and then is forced to leave him on the roof. Then his dealing with the guilt of having done so - despite Merle having been a racist abusive scumbag towards him. I hope they do something with him next season, if he lives.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

It's pretty easy to patronize on the internet and dribble cliches about moral equivalence too. Doesn't mean that it makes any more sense than whatever noises the bozo with his beer makes when he gets drunk and patriotic. One just sounds less pretentious and condescending.

Of course, dismissing an argument with "horse____" could give the same impression, but then the argument would have to warrant a more meaningful response. Arguing subjectivism will always be a gimmick, and I'll call it what it is. I'd think that someone who claims to have witnessed murder first hand would have a better grasp of its nature, but I guess it takes more than experience to sort those things out.

Well let's call it what it is. Does witnessing a murder even remotely compare to having someone attempt to murder you? No. It's not even in the same ballpark. Outside of "seeing" something awful, there's no emotional attachment to the actual experience. It's still hiding behind a certain level of voyeurism. IMO, it's no different than the dude who watches porn day in and day out, thinking he's a sex expert qualified to give advice on the matter of sexual intimacy. :huh

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

YouTube is blocked at work, someone want to throw in the "spoilers" from that video into a handy dandy Spoilers tag for me?

That's interesting. Given they share blood, foot, and just about everything else, if the baby died in utero, would Lori become a zombie as well? I'd say yes.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Well let's assume the baby dies within the 9th month so basically a tiny human, before that I don't think it's possible even in the realm of fiction to pull that off. It would theoretically become a zombie the thing is that it wouldn't have the strength or teeth to get out. She'd have to have it cut out or somehow birth it. If she died in childbirth without taking a blow to the head she'd turn.

Given that women's internal organs get shifted while pregnant, in theory it could kick and move enough to seriously hurt and kill her and then you'd have a zombie within a zombie given there isn't any head trauma.

I'm not talking about the baby eating it's way out. As you pointed out, there're no teeth to do so and absolutely no strength. But given her heart would be pumping fluids from the zombie directly into her own body, I'd imagine she'd turn as well.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

The whole zombie mother giving birth to a zombie baby has been done before in dawn of the dead.

If they do the zombie baby thing, it'll be more thrilling/disturbing if we have a human Lori with a zombie baby (maybe the fetus somehow died in utero and turned) killing her slowly from inside!

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

For those who have read the comics, does Michonne's character work in AMC's Walking Dead world or will it seem too over the top?

Actually I don't think Shane did.

Serious spoiler beware.
Everyone becomes a zombie when they die. In fact, I suspect this is what the scientist was whispering to Rick about at the disease centre.

I think it shouldn't be a problem. Theres plenty of melee action in the show so it should fit.

Yeah that was more or less confirmed in this last episode.

Yes I know this, but watch Shane in season 2 episode 11 the events can be taken both ways. :D

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

While we now know theyre all infected and destined to be walkers once they die,
it doesnt seem they think theyll be infected by the walker blood. On various episodes, you see walker blood fly eveywhere on their faces, clothes, etc.. and it doesnt bother them. I always though this was odd.

I don't know. When babies die in utero one of the ways they can tell is that the connection is cut off by the mother's body. I don't think she would unless Lori died as well.

Anybody catch the possible tribute to Sideshow's The Dead at 0:07?

Subject 57. :lol

The bald zombie that chased Andrea in the RV looked similar to Patient Zero as well, although I doubt it was intentional.

would it be considered a Walker??? or a Crawler??? LOL

Given that they at that age couldn't walk or crawl just cry I would say a squealer.

It would absolutely work and I can't wait to hopefully see it.

This is correct.

Yes it can. Right as Willocrew posted and wrong. ;)

Not to mention in season 1 they lathered themselves in Zombie goo to wander around Atlanta. I would assume that just interaction isn't enough in TWD world.
