Well let's call it what it is. Does witnessing a murder even remotely compare to having someone attempt to murder you? No. It's not even in the same ballpark. Outside of "seeing" something awful, there's no emotional attachment to the actual experience. It's still hiding behind a certain level of voyeurism. IMO, it's no different than the dude who watches porn day in and day out, thinking he's a sex expert qualified to give advice on the matter of sexual intimacy.
Oh. So the only way to really know what I'm talking about is to murder someone. K.
Carl is the most dangerous person on this show. Just think what things would be like if he shot that deer? Wait a minute, didn't Rick stop someone from shooting it? Anyway... If Carl didn't walk up to it trying to pet it, Otis, Sophia, Dale all would still be alive. That one action, or inaction, was what created the situations that caused those deaths. Would Rick, Glen, and Herschel have been in that bar? Nope. Those two guys in the bar would be alive. Hell, Randall would be alive. I don't think Shane would have lost it, and died. It's really the kid that's got to go. Shane would still be alive. sniff sniff I miss him.
For those who have read the comics, does Michonne's character work in AMC's Walking Dead world or will it seem too over the top?

She is to TWD what Ashley Williams was to Evil Dead.
Get me up to speed here. How can the event be taken 2 ways?
That is definitely something to look forward to then. I need to read the comics but I'm afraid it'll spoil some of the series for me. Strange because I always hate what movies do to the Novels.
Well, so far, except for locations, they've been somewhat different. Of course, with characters like Michonne, if you know her arrival in the comics, it's completely ruined for the show (which will be epic regardless). So there're definitely risks involved as far as spoilers for characters. But story, I'd say not really.
Because, Shane could have become a Zombie from using his own knife on himself after killing a walker with it or, from death from Rick stabbing him. Because the whole walker thing is airborne, They will all come back as walkers after they die.
I got to say, next to Daryl, I am most interested in her character. I might have to start reading the comics just to get up to speed on her, but I kind of have an idea by reading Wiki and stuff. Only thing I'm afraid of is the show Michonne not living up to the comic Michonne. At least if I wait until the show is over I can read the comics with a more open mind to not expect something.

Good thing you stopped buying a bunch of $$$ customs. Come the time the show's over, tracking them down will cost ya.
I thought this too after the first season. The wait was too damn long for the second season so I started reading the comic series with the hardcover volumes (#7 just came out). I still enjoy the series immensely because the comic series is different and I am not a stickler for following the comic verbatim. Like Nam said, Michonne's debut will be epic regardless. I highly recommend the comics to you, especially as something WD related to fill the time before the S3 premier in Oct.
I have the Compendium, I may just have to crack it open after the finale on Sunday. Any idea when the second Compendium will be out? I think the first is #1-48.
