Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

loved the ending... the possibilities... as they are not sticking to the comics, who knows who will be scarier... the walkers or the convicts.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

If say, Hershel got shot in the chest, he'd come back because that's what happens when you die in this world.

But if he got bit, he gets sick, and dies from the virus itself. And comes back.

You die faster if you're bit. It's a surefire death sentence.

Why would cutting his foot off help then? The virus is in his body already and the bite would have infected his blood anyway.

It only got to the leg. It takes 24 hours or so to spread.

I'd imagine if you got the appendage off quickly, i'd be ok.

Kinda like Frost bite.

there is a difference between Zombie infections and regular infections...

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Not to get off topic but the kid who plays Carl is going to be at a local comic con this weekend. They are asking for $30 per autograph! :horror That seems a bit steep for an autograph from a kid that could potentially never work again after this series.

:lol :exactly:

was Mister Ski being sarcastic? because Wofford wasn't and he said the same thing :dunno

The day Wofford and I agree on something might be a sign that one of us took a serious blow to the head. :lol

Like I said previously, I thought it was a great episode. Plenty of walker killing action and a decent amount of "implied" character development. Carl and Beth have become more productive members of the group (taking turns on watch, killing walkers, etc.). Carl has a crush on Beth and I chuckled at Hershel's line about finding his own sleeping arrangements. Carol and T-Dog have also stepped up and become productive members of the group. Maggie has taken over Andrea's role as the alpha female. Rick really has the group working well together. There was actually no dialog for the first five minutes or so the group took over that house. Everyone knew what they had to do and they were operating like a well oiled machine. He has become their leader at the expense of being their friend. He is pushing them to their limits, so that they are in as good a position as possible to survive in this new world. He has gone from one extreme of being a wishy-washy friend/leader to the group to becoming a hard@ss to everyone (except maybe Carl). I wonder how long he will be able to keep this new attitude up?

Michonne's introduction was already spoiled in sneak peeks, but I think she is going to be a great addition to this cast. She's tough and capable but also has a soft side as evidenced by her not leaving Andrea even though she is sick (which I assume is just the flu?.) Or maybe Shane had some super sperm and she is pregnant with his child too. :lol Minor spoiler:

Both Andrea and Michonne take a seat for next week's episode but will be back in episode 3 when the Governor is introduced.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

It's not just aspects of single scenes, but seeing how the characters have evolved from the finale. Were you sober when you watched? :dunno :lol

It's all making since now. The reason you're so hard on Celtic is because you're his daddy. :lol

They laid out a lot of foundation.

Carl-grown up in the walker world-even is starting to look at women
Rick-pissed off at Lori for plenty of reasons
Lori-Having crazy thoughts about a walker baby
Andrea-sick at the moment but has built a new friendship with Michonne
Daryl-still a BA and didn't fall for Carol's seduction
Carol-lonely and wants Daryl
T-dog-nothing
Hershel-leg gone
Maggie-kills walkers very well now
Glenn-still doesn't mind being the bait

Everything you've listed that is actually about characterization was known last season with the exception of Lori which I had already mentioned.

Then don't get his autograph? :dunno :lol Margo Kidder wanted $50 a pop at WonderCon a few years back. I laughed and walked past what I only recognized as the Karloff Mummy. :lol

:nono If Celtic were my child, he'd be too physically abused to type. :lecture:lecture:lecture

Maybe if you had some crystal ball showing you this episode. :cuckoo:

Virtually nothing was known about Michonne, Carl was an annoying little bastard, Lori was the biggest **** on the planet, Maggie was still full-on terrified of walkers, Hershall's in full Rick-tool mode, T-Dog was hard to remember, ****.... did you miss Daryl laughing at Carol when she called him romantic after the halfassed backrub and asked if he wanted to full around? You should've squirted in your pants at that scene alone if you were looking for character development.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Well watched the first episode.Loved it!

Its great that we've had some characterisation its just such a shame that its all been off screen during the break. Season 2 suffered from the complete investment in Shane an then killing him off.

Im hoping that, akin to season 1 and season 2 we get some 5 minuet intro flashbacks of the characters during the winter. The one thing I was desperatly hoping for was to see the characters battling in the snow. It was just iconic for me in 'Miles behind us', the snow trails, frozen zombies, the elements against them. Would also explain Andrea's illness very well too.

But heres to hoping!

Loved this episode. Can't wait for more. This and Game of Thrones are my two favorite shows. :rock
