Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Man, that's impressive! Good to know this show isn't going anywhere anytime soon. :hi5:

Amc just annouced the cancelation of the show today.:( Looks like its going somwhere afterall. In sunday night tv heaven but it will live forever in our hearts. Why must the good die young.

Fantastic premier, no complaints whatsoever. :yess:
I was sad to see Herschel bit so early in the season, but was glad to see they're not ready to write him off quite yet (seems pointless to write in the amputation if it's not indeed going to save him). ****, that scene was intense.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I still don't see the end game in this series. I guess that's why it's so fun. There are so many possibilities.

I don't even think Kirkman's thought of an end to the comics. He's always said he easily sees the books following a completely different group (the original members having died off along the way), before he even considers ending it.

Well, they're pretty close to that in the comics at this point. :lol

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Over 11 million viewers watched the season 3 opener! Only lost in ratings to the Sunday night NFL game.

What's interesting is that for every story about this group there could be a parrallel story in California. Or in Nevada. Or in Canada. Or in London. Etc.

If kirkman is smart (which we all know he is) he could engineer TWD to be like star trek with its offshoots.

I dunno. I'm not sure it would sustain without his writing and between the show, the comic and the other comics he's got going, he's a bit busy and I'd hate to see stuff get watered down. Look what happened to Marvel Zombies after Kirkman left. It became crap! :lol

That's actually a pretty cool idea. For now i'd prefer the original story and cast. If they were to choose to branch in Canada i'd say avoid Edmonton forsure. The place is already overrun by zombies. :D

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I wouldn't mind them taking the approach of the "Crossed" comics. Where each new trade or series is a different group of people in the universe. I think at some point it would definitely be nice if they focus on a different group in a different location.
