Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Also, I didn't care for the scene with the old guy and older sister. it's like he totally ignored the black lady, and wasn't she part of the group?

Andrea and her sister were the first people Dayle met after his wife was killed so he naturally has a deeper bond with Andrea.

Yea, I'd assume they're sleeping together, based on their conversations.

Not yet.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

That's what's so funny about him. He pretends to be this tough loner that only cares about himself and his own family (Brother) but in reality you can see in each episode he's in he DOES care about the group. He was genuinely pissed off about Glenn being kidnapped, and when Jenner opened the doors to the lab you notice he didn't just run off and go for self. First thing he did was call to the group to leave and helped everyone out.

Daryl has been written as a simple yet complex character if that makes sense. Other than Rick he's my favorite and I can't wait to see where they take his character since he wasn't in the comic and his future is whatever the want to make it to be.

In response to the Andrea/Dale comment from another post:
I thought Andrea was
with T dog in the comics. I haven't read the comics but I thought I read that. I can't imagine her being with Dale. He's like a father figure to her and she's like a daughter to him.
Just my opinion so let me know if that's wrong based on the comics.

And much younger in the comics. Dale better make a stop at a pharmacy and pick up some lil purple pills.

Don't get me wrong, I really like his character and I do think he is more than just some redneck, but scenes of him with a gun, axe or cross bow taking aim at some one's head only to be thwarted by Rick aiming his sidearm at Daryl's head to stop him just in time are getting cliche.

I also think Daryl's character should end up being gay.:lecture

:lol:lol:lol No you're right, it is becoming a routine thing.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

First season of Breaking Bad was the same, and I suspect it was as a trial run.

Caring for the group is self-preservation. :horror

Walking Dead >>>>>>> Dexter
I don't see it that way. As experienced of an outdoorsman that Darryl is portrayed as he would do much better on him own. No food to worry about except for yourself, not worrying about other people, the ability to move around much easier and quieter than a whole group. I agree with others that Darryl is a much nicer person than what he is portraying himself to be.

Daryl as a lone wolf type = Unabomber type character.

He's a damn good shot with a crossbow, that's for sure.
