Not much plot development, but pretty good character development for both Daryl and Beth, especially Beth.

Daryl is a great tracker right? How did he "lose" Tyreese and Co. trail? :lol They were on the tracks. Why not stay on them until you hit a town or something? Living in the woods is not a viable option.

Snake skinning scene was cool.

I agree with this comment 100%.

Beth (or Emily) is so annoying to me. Her voice just makes me cringe. Having to see her AND that "comic" dressed like PeeWee Herman made me switch the channel despite Norman being on The Talking Dead. I usually don't watch the show, but was going to because of Norman, but I just couldn't take it.

I liked TWD for what it was though, despite Beth. Next week's show looks good.

I didn't notice any character development. All we learned about Daryl was that before the apocalypse he was a redneck drifting around with his brother Merle, and he had a ****** childhood. I'm pretty sure we already knew all of that. Reedus did a nice job with his emotional breakdown scene, but as a whole, it felt like the worst kind of filler. Watching True Detective immediately after this episode was like night and day.

Lets burn it down

Beth... If I had to guess she is next. It is like they are trying to make people not like her now or something. I like how she was talking about Daryl being the last man standing. It makes me wonder if they are trying to say he won't make it, or if it was a comment on how people say they will riot of he dies.

The ending felt like a homage to indie movies or something :lol

I agree after watching TD its hard to sit thru TWD. I just finished watching TWD a second time. It wasn't as unbearable as the first time around. Kinda slow, but not bad. Beth was still annoying but I'd much rather watch her than Glenn, especially after lasts weeks episode. And Daryl...He's always nice to look at. :wink1:

How many episodes left? 5?

Overall it was unnecessary as a single episode. They could've covered enough of this in one segment. I still enjoyed it though.

Not sure what people are expecting from Beth. She's mostly a kid entering womanhood in a zombie apocalypse, and she's lost her entire family and other people she's come to love, piece by piece, through some really tragic circumstances. No, not much different than probably many others in that universe, but I think she's got the right to be a little petulant and do some lashing out.
Daryl is guilty of the exact same acting out after downing a few gulps of moonshine.

I also don't get what Glenn did wrong last week to piss off so many people.

Plus, Daryl pretty much did this very thing himself, hallucinating about Merle in Season 2.

I wish people who have hated this show almost from the start would stop watching so actively just so they can continue barfing out their hate for it on the internet. There's lots of other stuff to do on a late Sunday night. :D Try auto-erotic asphyxiation. I hear it makes "Kill Bill" even cooler.

Sure, it's the way of things now when it comes to entertainment, in particular, on the internet. But the constant hatey-hard-on some people have for this show has really become a ******* ****ing downer for the rest of us who are willing to not get mired in stupid nitpicks and pet peeves.

I should add that I like Chris Hardwick, just to make the lines that are drawn quite clear. :)

Carl getting the pudding I understood, He was trying to protect his dad and looking for supplies. it was nice

Beth wanting a drink was really stupid, putting her life and Daryl's in danger. I wish they set up the "wanting to drink" plot differently.

Also if they were so close to houses and buildings I dont get why they were camping. Out of the new episodes this one felt dumb.

That isn't going to happen. Trolls, with low self-esteem, will never go away...unless they're banned.

And that's why trolls will continue to hate and nit pick. Misery loves company.

JMO of course.

Everyone seems to be focused on Daryl in the episode, but I really think the episode gave Beth the spotlight. We didn't learn much new about Daryl (other than he has never left Georgia), but we did get to learn alot more about Beth and her view points/motivations/etc. She is growing up fast in this new world. She was brutally honest in her self assessment of herself saying that she isn't a Michonne/Carol/Maggie type, but that she has survived in her own way. Daryl was the brawns in the episode, but Beth was mental strength for both of them. If she wasn't there, I think Daryl goes off into his loner shell again and that would be the last we see of him. Instead, Beth gets him re-engaged in the world by getting both of them to talk about their feelings and to process what has just happened to both of them (Hershel's death, losing the prison, possibly losing everyone else they know, etc). This was the first episode where I didn't find Beth annoying. :lol

Why did Beth take off her new sweater just because it had some blood on it only to reveal an even bloodier golf shirt underneath? :dunno :lol

I bet the people who didn't like this episode because it dragged were heavily outnumbered by people who loved it because of the Darylcentricness.
