Does there always have to be someone to blame?

Well since you have a set set-up on an operational train track and NO permits to be there, Yes there are NUMEROUS people to blame. To get a Location permit a bunch people and Dept. Heads have to sign off on it (owner of location, Location manger, producers, Ex producers, Director) None of which happened. The Railline denied them access. They had no "right" to film there much less set up a set on the tracks. Bunch of people are responsible.

Trains approach unexpectedly? Honestly it sounds to me like she's to blame and before anyone even asked that question they just turned her into a martyr.

Perhaps you should educate yourself on the events of that day, before you make such a ignorant comment.

I don't know if you've ever been in the film industry or worked on a film set but if you had you would know you never, ever say "No" for fear of being blacklisted and loosing work. "Below the Line" crew don't have a voice when it comes to anything on set, even when it comes to safety. That is why this is so important to us. She did as she was told and lost her life for it, and it should have never of happened.

Or it's considered trolling. This is my response to those people.

Burning down your shelter in the middle of the night in a zombie infested forest, now that's character development. :duh

For the people asking about the dead in the clubhouse, they stated in the episode notes on Talking Dead that those hanging, and most of the others, were killed in a class war. Those were all the rich members who, I assume, had congregated there for safety, and they were slaughtered by...who knows? But they were people who hate the rich obviously, and took the opportunity of the situation to act out.

Because they had a good buzz going, and it had more impact that way, both for the characters after their conversations, and fire looking much cooler at night. :D It is a fantasy TV show after all, and pragmatism as a driving force doesn't often provide for the best story outcome or ratings. That should be more than evident with choices that have been made throughout the series.

From a tactical standpoint, it actually makes sense. Zombies would be drawn to the fire while they escape under the cover of darkness. Should they stumble upon any during the escape, they would have a considerably easier time hiding than in broad daylight. :huh

I agree after watching TD its hard to sit thru TWD. I just finished watching TWD a second time. It wasn't as unbearable as the first time around. Kinda slow, but not bad. Beth was still annoying but I'd much rather watch her than Glenn, especially after lasts weeks episode. And Daryl...He's always nice to look at. :wink1:

How many episodes left? 5?

You have to remember that True Detective is a new show and of course it's going to be exciting, etc., just like TWD was when it first came on. Give TD a few more seasons and see if you still feel as excited. I have a feeling these so-called filler shows are leading up to something and are necessary.

After the prison assault, I recall Nicotero saying on TTD that some of the splintered groups might not ever meet back up at all.
Of course he could've been talking about the people on the bus and the characters we never really knew. Or he might have just been lying to keep us guessing, but I'm still considering that as a possibility until they are actually all back together.
It would be much more difficult to maintain the story for much longer being spread out across multiple groups, but we know at least 2 of them will be meeting up down the railroad tracks soon.

I love that anyone who isn't enthralled by every single episode is automatically branded as having ADD. It's always the go to insult from those that are for some reason offended by others who don't share their opinions.

That's because it's always the same ones saying "filler" most of the time. I like certain episodes more than others, but they usually all have their purpose in the long run.

There are almost a dozen shows that are past their first seasons that I'm still incredibly excited about.

Nope, its 100 percent her fault, you just proved my point. If I know my helicopter isn't ready for flight and my boss tells me to take it up even though it will kill me and the clients that isn't my responsibility because I may get fired? Nope. Sorry, but she made a huge dangerous mistake and thats really sad but she's not a hero. Far from it. She helped endanger lives for money.

You're unbelievably ignorant but that's ok.

I'm not at all, I've read 4 articles on the subject. They didn't have permission to be there, they stayed right next to the tracks when the train approached and she was hit by debri that pushed her onto the tracks.

Your ignorant to think her keeping her job clicking a chalk board was more important than anyone's safety. If we think like that where I work at the airport we'd probably end up on trial for FAA violations. Her critical thinking skills failed her.

She put a bed on train tracks in the middle of the night without permission and didn't think about the consequences so now she's a hero. Dumbest thing I've ever heard celebrated. Other people to blame? Sure but that does not exempt her. She willingly participated in something stupid and dangerous.

When an entire episode revolves around giving us backstory that we already knew, I'm sorry, but to me that's filler.

It's when people say that every episode is a filler episode is what I'm talking about. Why watch it anymore? I get something out of every episode. Maybe it's because I know NOTHING about the comics. Some in this thread have said FILLER for so long now, that people just don't take them seriously anymore.
