It's all there black & white, clear as crystal

Silver Samurai lopped off his Adamantium Claws and he regrew bone claws.

In DOFP future it's unknown if he still has Bone claws or if someone (probably Magneto) rebonds Adamantium to them.

In DOFP past, he as only Bone Claws and no Adamantium since he didn't go through the bonding until 1979.

Assuming they acknowledge Origins, which I thought they weren't.

Origins was a hot mess too, with backwards aging "emma"

I'm pretty sure they're going to toss it out as a heavy drug-induced nightmare that Logan Halucinated.

Both sets of claws were cut off by SS, he regrew new bone claws (out of the ends of the adamantium ones?).

His bone claws were visible at the core of the adamantium claws when they were cut. Silver Samurai drills into the bone marrow to steal Logan's DNA/healing factor/mojo.

The metal bonded around the bone, not penetrating all the way to the center. The bone claws regrew and are able to pass through the adamantium claw stubs.

Yup, and he still has them at the airport when he pops them on Magneto.

I like to think it was Emma Jr. The timeline adds up, somewhat. Since that Emma looked like she was an early teen in the 80's, and FC Emma looked like she was bordering on mom territory in the 60's. Granted, I'm probably totally off base, but, if it means one less cluster**** to fix. **** it, I'll take it.:lol

I suppose, if that's the logic they went with, they could always take some artistic liberties and make Havoc Scott's dad, instead of his brother, as well.

Finally watched Extended cut.

Hmmm.

The ninja battle wasn't improved by that much, I can see why it was cut.

Not much blood added.

The end battle with the silver samurai wasn't as bad this time out.

The movie was still enjoyable.

Still a horrible soundtrack. :lol

It's not that horrible. Just not particularly memorable.

Well there's nothing in the movies to suggest they're related so that's not an issue.

As for Emma. for me, one was Kaylas sister and the others was Emma Frost

Jackman spoke about the filmmakers going for a R rating when the film was announced and this would be a much more adult portrayal of the character.

Instead there was no blood or gore, a silly bullettrain action scene, Ninja boy bands ripping their shirts off, and one coy use of the F bomb.

I don't blame Jackman, I think he's a fine actor and it's clear he's very loyal to the character and his fans. I just don't think FoxMarvel has the guts to do a solo Wolverine movie right.

This pushed the PG13 rating more han any other in recent memory. We saw blood when he performed surgery on himself. We saw people getting stabbed.

Blood and limbs flying does not change a movie for the better or worse it's simply a different view of the scenes as they happen.

There will never be an R-Rated Wolverine movie. From any studio.

The most violent PG-13 movie post 90's is still Casino Royale. That movie is brutal.

I think something recently upstaged it....but I can't remember it. It wasn't The Wolverine.

And gore can absolutely change the film. It can instill a new tone. Which could make the film better, and more adult and gritty.

The surgery was off-screen. The stabbing wasn't gory at all. The action was a big let down, overall.

This movie could have used some more realistic violence, along the lines of Dredd. Maybe not that far, but it would have fit the tone better than what we got.
