Even though we've only seen a small potion of the final film, that alone was already leagues better than either X-Men Origins: Wolverine or X-Men: The Last Stand.

From the trailer I'd say its "borrowed" from when Rogue and Wolverine went to Japan and fought Madame Hydra and Silver Samurai. By borrowed I mean very lightly, no Rogue and different reason apparently for traveling to Japan. The sword/claw fight sequence between Wolvie and SS drawn by Paul Smith was pretty bad ***, hopefully the movie has something as memorable. I would guess there will be elements from Miller's Wolverine miniseries as well, filmmakers love copping aspects of Miller's comics whenever theres a chance.
